An anonymous donor this week announced to the Lambert House board that he will match 2 for 1 individual donations to Lambert House that mention his match.
According to Lambert House Executive Director Ken Shulman, the anonymous supporter will give Lambert House two dollars for each dollar donated to Lambert House during its Spring Fundraising Campaign, which is going on now and ends April 30.
The donors match is capped at a total of $5,000 and Lambert House is encouraging community members to immediately send checks marked Donor Match in the memo line in order to triple the value of their donations and enable the organization to benefit from the full $5,000 match.
Under the anonymous challenge, a $25 check becomes a $75 donation, a $50 check becomes a $150 donation, and a $1,000 check becomes a $3,000 donation.
This is an extraordinary opportunity for people who support Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered youth to leverage their support by tripling the value of their donations at no additional cost to them said Shulman.
To qualify for the match, your donation should be marked donor match and sent to Lambert House, P.O. Box 23111, Seattle, WA 98102, by April 30. Donations are tax deductible.
Lambert House is one of the nations busiest LGBTQ youth centers and offers a wide range of social, recreational, educational, health, and clinical programs and services. It served over 500 different Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered and questioning youth with more than 18,000 hours of direct service and more than 4,000 visits to its programs and youth events last year.
