On March 12 at 1:10 a.m., Richard Stierl passed through the veil between life and death. He was active in the Pan-Sexual Leather community a part of the Court of Tacoma as a Barony active in the Drag Community as Katherine Ann Christie in the 70s, 80s and 90s and known simply as The Pheonix in the 2000s. He held the honor of being the only person to compete for and loose every title that Tacoma has to offer. He was also active in the Science Fiction Fandom community as Prince Ka and had several characters in Science Fiction Literature modeled after him because of his creativity and vivaciousness. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Funeral services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW in the Valley Chapel at 11:00 a.m. There will also be a potluck remembrance for him on Saturday, March 19, at 5:00 p.m. at Mocha Mountain 743 St. Helens Ave., Tacoma, WA. All are welcome to come and talk about this shining star in our lives. He will be noticeably missed by all that came in contact with him. |
