Weekend of Dyke activism kicks off with Dyke Day of Remembrance

Break out your boots, dust off your heels, strap-on your drum and get ready for Seattle’s Dyke March and Queer Women’s Rally 2005! Rally begins Saturday, June 25 at 5:30 p.m, Seattle Central Community College. The March will start at 7:00 p.m. and proceed downtown to Westlake Park. Judy Tallwing will emcee the speakers and entertainment at the rally stage and lead us in a blessing to acknowledge that we are marching on Indian land.

The rally will be ASL interpreted, and a wheelchair lift bus and passenger van will be available for the march. To make this event accessible to more women, please refrain from wearing strong fragrances and other scented products. For accommodation requests, contact Sue at (206) 722-6850 or Marla at marla3449@hotmail.com or call the WA State Relay Service, 711. Tell operator (206) 523-8705 and leave a message. Pleases call two weeks ahead if you have special accommodation needs. For general Dyke March information or to help, email dykemarchseattle@yahoo.com.

DYKE DAY OF REMEMBRANCE

Pike St.) and walk in a silent procession up to the LGBT Community Center (1115 E. Pike St.) for a remembrance ceremony.
