Northwest LeatherSir/Leatherboy & Community Boot Black Contest to be held August 26-28
Generic Leather Productions of Washington (GLPW) is proud to announce the upcoming Northwest LeatherSir/Leatherboy and Community Boot Black Contest, to be held August 26-28, 2005, in Seattle at the Timberline Spirits. This year's theme is "Military," and the theme will be reflected in the infamous fantasy presentations, which the contestants will perform as part of the competition.

The Meet-and-Greet will be held on Friday, August 26, at The Cuff Complex (1533 13th Ave.). The Boot Black Competition will also be held Friday night and will start at 9:00 p.m. After the Boot Black Contest and the Meet-and-Greet, there will be a Men's Only Play Party - to be held at Seattle's Sex Positive Community Center (aka, The Wetspot). Private Interviews will be conducted during the day on Saturday, August 27, at The Cuff Complex. The Timed Technical Skills Assessment for the Boot Black candidates will take place following the interviews where the boot blacks will demonstrate their talents with high polish and oil tan boots.

The LeatherSir & Leatherboy Contest will be held on the evening of August 27, at The Timberline Spirits (1828 Yale Ave.). There will be a victory party at The Timberline Spirits after the contest, and a no host victory brunch the following morning at the Broadway Grill (314 Broadway Ave. E.).

"Last year's event was an amazing success in every measurable way, and this year's will be even better!" exclaimed Gene Romaine, Regional Sponsor & Executive Producer of the Northwest LeatherSir, Leatherboy & Community Boot Black Contest. "Barry, timm, and Kelley have had an extraordinary year, each and every one of them. I am extremely proud of them."

The Northwest Region was awarded a Region of the Year plaque at the International LeatherSir, Leatherboy & Community Boot Black Contest in October 2004.

The Emcee for this event will be Bryan Harrison. The Judges for this contest are: Head Judge, David Labriola, Mid-Atlantic Mr. Drummer 2000 and Den Daddy of the International LeatherSir and Leatherboy Contest; Mr. Marcus Hernandez, Judge Emeritus of International Mr. Leather and leather journalist extraordinaire; Robert Davis, International LeatherSir 2004; Rick Mansfield, International Leatherboy 2003; Alan Tunstall, International Boot Black 2004 (IML); Barry Burns, Northwest LeatherSir 2004; Kelley Wilt, Northwest Community Boot Black 2004; Rob Pont, Canadian Mr. Drummer 1999; and, Tobin Britton, American Leatherwoman 2002.

Because of the need for one of the two people who helped to create the computer system for the tally to manage that process, Northwest Leatherboy 2004 - timm briggs - has very graciously agreed to be in charge of the tally system. Timm has been very involved in the production of this year's Washington contest and will play a crucial role in assisting the producer and the production manager with many facets of the upcoming event.

The Washington LeatherSir/Leatherboy & Community Boot Black Contest is produced by Generic Leather Productions of Washington, a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Corporation. Corporate Sponsors of this year's contest weekend include: The Wetspot & The Cuff Complex. Supporting Sponsor: Jane's

The Northwest Region of the International LeatherSir/Leatherboy Contest system is comprised of the following US States and Canadian Provinces: Alaska, Alberta, British Columbia, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington and Yukon Territories.
