DEMOLITION PARTIES AT CENTER FOR LGBT HEALTH SITE

Volunteers are needed to help with demolition at the site of the future Center for LGBT Health, a collaborative project between Verbena and Gay City Health Project. Both organizations will be co-locating to the new site (511 East Pike Street, Seattle), which will house staff offices, clinic space, community meeting rooms, and a coffee shop.

"It's a great way to pitch in and help build the new Center, and a great way to get involved. We really appreciate all of the ways volunteers from the community are helping to create the new Center for LGBT Health."

The grand opening is slated for April 2006. However, to complete the building plans, demolition needs to begin. Every Saturday through the month of January from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., volunteers are needed for a few hours or all day. Snacks will be provided. Volunteers are asked to bring the following supplies: work gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, hammer, crowbar, and tools.
