| An exhibition of fine erotic art for collectors, the curious, and the uninhibited. Capturing the cultural ambiguity and allure of Asia, the insights of this exhibit provide a format where aesthetics overrides the subject matter.
Ranging from suggestive to blatantly obvious, the theme of harmonious relations is explored. Whether depicting the elegance of couples contemplating the new moon, or the graceful curves of a courtesan, the touch of veiled eroticism is often rendered with enormous humor. A fascinating reflection of history and art, revealing that love, indeed, knows no boundaries. Dating from the 18th through the 20th century, antique woodblock prints, illustrated pillow books, scrolls, doctor's dolls, silk paintings, snuff bottles, figures in porcelain and bronze, netsuke, jade carvings and miniature ivory wedding night pictorials will be featured. Join us as we present this outstanding exhibition of art from Japan, India, Persia, China and Korea, including selected works from private collections. Please note: Due to the nature of this important exhibition, no one under the age of eighteen shall be admitted. The exhibition will be held at both the Bellevue (10217 Main Street) and Seattle (519 6th Ave. South) galleries.
