Students and workshop instructors being sought
Gay City University is recruiting Professors for its 12th Session, Saturday, May 20th, 2006. The day at GCU promises to entertaining, engaging and educational. The students are ready and Gay, the administrators suited and apathetic, and the lunch ladies are dusting off their hairnets. Now its time to bring in the faculty.
If you are an education zealot eager to share your expertise in:
Finance - dating - health - Gay history - writing - basket weaving - activism - travel - careers - exercise - how to avoid a bad haircut - community involvement - Trans education - massage - Gay 101 - wine tasting - decorating - Britney Spears - book discussion - Golden Girls Trivia - gardening - bear hunting - cooking - or anything you or Sally Struthers might think will be of interest to the Gay, Bi or Trans Community.
Instructor proposals may be emailed, snail mailed, faxed or delivered to Gay City University Administrative (aka Gay City Wellness Center) offices at 1513 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122 by March 17th, 2006, 6 PM.
Proposals will be reviewed and selected by Gay City University staff and volunteers. Potential professors should contact Kyle Peppers at 206.860.6969 or Kyle@GayCity.org to receive a course proposal form.
Classes will range in size from 10 to 30 students and each class will last 90 minutes.
Gay City University's mission is to provide opportunities for growth and learning to Gay, Bisexual and Trans men in the Seattle area through periodic non-graded classes and workshops offered in a safe and fun environment. GCU seeks to create a sense of community and to promote communication and self-esteem among Gay, Bisexual and Trans men of all ages.
Gay City Health Project is an innovative Gay men's health organization based in Seattle, and the premiere HIV and STD testing provider for Gay and Bisexual men in King County. Our mission is to promote the health of Gay, bi and Trans men and prevent HIV infection by building community, fostering communication, and nurturing self esteem.
