THE 'NOCHE FANTASIA' AND 'PARADISE PRIDE' DIFFERENCE
THE 'NOCHE FANTASIA' AND 'PARADISE PRIDE' DIFFERENCE
So "Pride 2006" arrives and many events are planned for a three-day period here in Seattle. So you ask yourself, which one of the many events would I choose? When so many of the "Pride" events seem to be similar in theme. Perhaps you might also ask yourself which of the events planned, assist in funding vital needs to our community.

Last year for "Pride 2005" Noche FantAsia premiered as the first "Lat-Asian" themed event. This GLBT event successfully gave a new twist to diversity within our community, focusing on the importance of multi-culturism, to our biggest ethnic minority communities, Asian and Latino. This year, Noche FantAsia returns to Galerias -611 E. Broadway, Seattle. The venue Galerias, holds a pretty impressive Latino night, every Saturday, but on Friday the 23rd of June, Noche FantAsia will be held, starting after 10:30 pm. Once again Dj Polo, spins his "one spicy mix" of the best in dance. Miss Gia Manila host: "Viva La Divas" Drag'n Show, with Seattle's best performers. The hottie Hombres return as well in a setting of a tropical cabana.

So you don't really want to be stuck in the chaotic crowds of the mega post- pride parade events. You also want something more intimate yet a very fun-filled event, still you don't have to go to far. This year "Paradise Pride" premiers at Nijo- sushi bar and grill, 83 Spring st., (downtown). This venue features a very inviting atmosphere, which will be dressed in a tropical Hawaiian "Crate and Barrel" mode. Nijo also has a fantastic garden courtyard for outdoor pleasures, dining, drinking etc. Nijo is known for it's reputable Japanese Menu, drinks to help you want to celebrate until next the next "Pride" DJ and Drag entertainment will be featured, with a "raffle" to raise money for Lambert House, the GLBT youth program, see www.lamberthouse.org. Both Noche FantAsia and Paradise Pride will be raising money for Lambert House, for we feel events such as this need to assist the needs of our community.
