| The Seattle chapter of DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) will host a glamorous evening of retro-elegance in vintage Playboy-mansion style at the The Rainier Club on Saturday, October 21, from 8 p.m. to 1:00 am. Tagged "Party at the Mansion," proceeds from the event benefit DIFFA, which grants funds to local HIV/AIDS service organizations.
Staged amidst the tudor elegance of the magnificent Rainier Club in downtown Seattle, partygoers will enjoy DJ music, dancing, gourmet fare, a wine tasting room, and martini bar. Tickets are $125. Event sponsors & donors include M*A*C Viva Glam, The Playboy Foundation, Cartier, Barneys New York, and W Hotels. Guests are invited to attend in vintage Playboy style - "ascots & diamonds, or retro glam-chic." A luxury silent auction will feature trips, items and packages with a sexy, designer edge, including fashion accessories, jewelry, beauty products, and a trip for 4 to the famous Playboy mansion in Los Angeles. DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS is one of the oldest and largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education providers in the U.S. Since its founding in 1984, DIFFA has mobilized the immense resources of the design communities to provide over $35 million to hundreds of AIDS organizations nationwide. The Seattle chapter of DIFFA was formed in 1993, and has granted nearly $400,000 to local HIV/AIDS programs. Recent grant recipients include Lifelong AIDS Alliance, Bailey-Boushay House, Rosehedge AIDS Housing, and the Seattle/King County Humane Society's "Pet Project" AIDS Outreach Program.
