THANKS SGN
Dear SGN,
An overdue thank you here!
I've been remiss in following up with you to thank you for your help in getting the word out to the community about our efforts to bring the 2008 Gay Softball World Series to Seattle.
Considering that it was the edition prior to the election, we're especially grateful for the prominent placement of the story.
Thanks again!

HOLIDAY THOUGHTS
Dear SGN,
Newspapers, radio stations, and television commercials are constantly promoting Christmas every day and evening locally. By the time the special day arrives, many of us will be terribly tired from the many activities of the season - including buying and sending holiday cards, purchasing gifts, and a variety of activities.
It almost becomes an endurance course to get through this period of time without becoming victimized in some way or another. For many of us, the holiday season has become an adventure in human tenacity - trying to remember everything that has to be done before celebrating the big day on the 25th of December.
Once we get through all the personal requirements, perhaps we'll feel comfort in knowing that we haven't been alone in doing our damndest to make Christmas memorable. Hopefully, our efforts will be appreciated and we will know that the time spent was well worth it.
Sincerely,
Buzz Flowers

Dear SGN,
Holiday madness is now in full swing with animated Santa Clauses, yards with lighted reindeer, and a variety of holiday illusions throughout our community - all proclaiming the Christmas season is ready to be unfolded for all to enjoy.
Churches, community groups, volunteers, and unidentified angels will contribute to make this holiday memorable for those people willing to go the extra step.
People in hospitals are often forgotten during this busy time, although the patients most certainly need consistent support.
Military personnel abroad are given an opportunity to have Christmas with packages from home and special meals for the occasion.
Families of military personnel have a very difficult time when their sons, daughters, fathers and extended relatives don't return home alive.
Learning to get through this period of time isn't easy. May we all ask for peace now and in the future.
Sincerely,
Buzz Flowers
