| You don't have to. Seattle Gay News invites you to an Academy Awards party, on February 25, with everything you need to enjoy the big, golden night at Purr Cocktail Lounge (1518 11th Avenue). Rolled-out red carpet, glamorous cocktails, star-worthy nibbles, A-list prizes, and of course, flat screens positioned throughout the bar to watch all the action live, including celebrity arrivals and pre-telecast commentary. Come cheer for Jennifer Hudson and the cast of Dreamgirls, awards host Ellen Degeneres, and nominated lesbian singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge, plus your favorite films and performers of the last year. Bring yourself, invite your friends and colleagues, and plan to spend the evening with fellow movie buffs at Purr to find out who's taking Oscar home.
