High-style design event to benefit local AIDS organizations
DIFFA GLAM! - Think Outside The Box

The Seattle chapter of DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS) will host a unique event celebrating high-style design on Thursday, May 10, from 6 to 9 pm. Tagged "GLAM! - think outside the box" proceeds from the event benefit DIFFA, which grants funds to local HIV/AIDS service organizations.

Staged amidst the designer showrooms Masins Pioneer Square furniture store, partygoers will enjoy DJ music, wine, hors d'oeuvres, and signature cocktails, as well as modeled fashions and jewelry displays from DIFFA sponsors Barneys New York and Cartier. Central to the evening will be a unique raffle and silent auction of more than 30 custom-made designer boxes, filled with luxury products, home décor items, hotel & dining experiences and other glam goodies. Created specifically for the event by local artists and designers, the boxes take inspiration from participating box sponsors & donors such as Juicy Couture, Cartier, Barneys New York, MAC Cosmetics, W Seattle, Playboy, Purple Café & Wine Bar, Hotel 1000, and Barolo Ristorante to name just a few.

Suggested minimum entry donation is $25. Guests are asked to support DIFFA through the purchase of raffle tickets ($10 each) and volunteers will be on hand to accept donations throughout the evening.

DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fighting AIDS, is one of the largest funders of HIV/AIDS service and education providers in the U.S. Since its founding in 1984, DIFFA has mobilized the immense resources of the design communities to provide over $35 million to hundreds of AIDS organizations nationwide. The Seattle chapter of DIFFA was formed in 1993, and has granted nearly $500,000 to local HIV/AIDS programs. Recent grant recipients include Lifelong AIDS Alliance, Rosehedge AIDS Housing, Entre Hermanos, Rise 'n Shine, and the Seattle/King County Humane Society's "Pet Project" AIDS Outreach Program.
