| Seattle Gay News teams with Purr for Oscar party |
Unless Marion Cotillard and Ruby Dee score upset wins, the winners of the 2008 Academy Awards are as predictable as John McCain's trip to Minneapolis-St. Paul in September. But that doesn't mean you have to skip the fun of watching the glitzy ceremony this year, which enjoys a last-minute polish thanks to the recent end to the writers' strike.
Seattle Gay News is once again proud to host an Oscar Party at Purr Cocktail Lounge (1518 11th Avenue) with all the fixin's: prizes, drink specials, film goodies, red carpet, and mounted flatscreens to view the event - from the limousine arrivals to the acceptance speech for Best Picture.
The Oscar Party is February 24, starting at 4 p.m. No cover charge. No cost for entering our pick-the-winners contest. Plus, the comfort of watching the awards in an upbeat, festive environment that welcomes everyone.
Come celebrate the Oscars with us at Purr!
