In memory of Petals

We have all lost longtime friends over the years, as I have, with so many obits and memorials in the SGN. So this time it's for another old friend and joy of 17 years, my ol' pooch Petals! Petals was given to me in 1991 by Paul Creasman, whose mamma dog had other pups, which he named all of them for flowers!! Petals was the ultimate guard dog, barking at people a block away from her porch! This included the mailman, whom she resented coming by each day, and of course almost causing me to never see any mail again. So whether it's human friends or otherwise, we all miss them when they leave us, knowing they did their best for us as we did for them when we had them close, as I did for Petals. Lenny Larson
