EMERALD CITY SOFTBALL LEAGUE 2008 SOFTBALL SEASON
Open Division games will be played primarily at the North SeaTac fields again this year, S. 128th St. & 20th Ave. S., and the Women's Division games will be played at the Lower Woodland Complex, Aurora Ave. N. & N. 59th St. For complete details about the league, including game times and field locations, see the league website at www.emeraldcitysoftball.org. LAMBERT HOUSE SEEKING MEALS VOLUNTEERS
Lambert House, Seattle's LGBTQ youth drop-in center, is currently seeking Meals volunteers for Monday nights. Meals volunteers plan the dinner menu, provide the ingredients and prepare a family-style dinner for 10-20 LGBTQ youth, ages 22 and under. PLANNING CONTINUES FOR FUTURE FUNDING OF HIV/AIDS CARE SERVICES
Nearly $5.5 million will be available for HIV/AIDS care services in King County in 2009 and 2010. The Seattle HIV/AIDS Planning Council has begun the process of deciding what types of services will be funded with the Ryan White Treatment Modernization Act, Part A funds.

A committee of the Planning Council comprised of consumers and service providers will use data from a variety of sources, including an assessment of need which surveyed over 500 consumers and 100 providers, to determine funding levels of services. Members of the public are encouraged to attend the meetings and join in the discussions. Meetings will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on seven Mondays. Meetings scheduled for March 17, 24, 31, April 7, and May 5, will be held at 2100 24th Ave. S. Meetings schedule for April 21 and 28, will be held at 401 5th Ave, Room 121. After the approval of the funding plan by the full Planning Council, interested parties will have 30 days to provide comments. The Seattle HIV/AIDS Planning Council is the local decision-making body that determines how federal funds will be awarded for HIV/AIDS care service delivery in King County. TRC GLBT CAMPGROUND OPENING DELAYED DUE TO HEAVY SNOW
Triangle Recreation Camp (TRC) usually opens for Gay and Lesbian campers mid-April. But this year due to heavy snow and a long winter the campground is forced to delay opening until the first weekend in May. "There is too much snow to get into the parking lot, and the snow plows created a large snow berm preventing vehicle access onto the property." says Dale M., VP Operations. TRC is the favorite member-owned-and-operated non-profit campground, exclusively for Gay men and Lesbians in the Pacific Northwest. TRC offers primitive camping to its members in an old-growth forest fronting the Stilliguamish River in the beautiful Cascade foothills. This 80-acre nature conservancy is located a 1.5 hour drive north of Seattle along a National Scenic Byway, and comes alive each summer with thousands of Gay men and women campers. The Northwest Network of Bisexual, Trans, Lesbian and Gay Survivors of Abuse's is offering their Spring Relationship Skills Class, Wednesday evenings, May 21st - June 25th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., at Seattle Central Community College. This six week course will explore the skills we need to build the relationships we want.
