Shout it from the rooftops, "new army sweetie" coming home
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

So, this one is still buzzing with excitement after hearing from "new army sweetie" today that that one is on the way back to these fair shores. Still no word on "army sweetie" (the original and still in this one's heart) and whether this one will see that one again or not.

In the meantime, though, a major celebration - you'll probably hear the "noise" all the way to wherever you are, north or south, my little raspberry jam pots. And big props to the Trader Joe's clerks who have been so supportive while I waited for both soldiers and agonized over times I didn't hear from them because of communications difficulties. I heart you guys.

And yes, I'm still navigating the "Madison mess," near "The Digs," and actually saw the worst accident not very long ago. The Department of Transportation will not put a traffic cop there, and as per the SPD officer I talked to after the accident to see if there could be someone there to monitor the folks who blow lights and are likely to cause other accidents, only DOT could do that. So, pedestrians beware, and maybe you should write DOT and urge them to protect their walking public, as we pay taxes, too, and don't want to get run down by some evil bimbo on a cell phone and in a hurry to her condo in Madrona.

So, what have I been doing besides patiently waiting for my "soljas" to come home and trying not to die in the middle of Madison? Well, this one got this lovely sample in the mail, a new moisturizer called Silkskin. Tried it and loved it (still, my Ocean Actives Squalane is my fave and I already ordered more and, this time, added some of their lipstick to the order). You can order Silkskin by going to www.silkskin.com and see how great it is yourself.

Also tried a new facial care line, or two products of that line, a wonderful moisturizer for La Face that is light and makes one look fresh and young, a good thing. Also tried the Eye Moisture Gel from this line, Komenuka, and liked it, too. Pick these and other delish things, including Havaniacs sandals, at Olivine Boutique in Ballard (near the Sunday Farmer's Market). You will definitely want to look good for upcoming Pride events, both here and in Tacoma (where this one will be this year - theirs is in July, so you'll have two months to celebrate if you show up for Out In The Park) or Olympia on the 22nd. This one might make it to that one, if The Sleep Doctor doesn't make me oversleep.

And, it must be said, now that the season finale faceoff from the networks is over (hey, this one doesn't have cable yet, dahling - something we hope will be fixed with the move to Tacoma), we hope there's something more interesting than reality shows to watch all summer. Hey, here's an idea: How about bringing back some episodes of Outer Limits, or Firefly, or, even better, Lexx, a series we fans really would like seeing again. Better than Farmer Wants a Wife or any of the other schlock impersonating good television these days.

Remember network folks, some of us watch the tube, even in the summer, even if we are seeing blockbuster films or having picnics outside - something this one's going to be doing very soon with "new army sweetie." Oh, and "you're welcome" to the certain Taurean who got a major birthday gift when that one was a guest at The Digs and bells were a-ringing all night long, honey! Ah, and yes, this one has the new "Seattle cold" that's going around, though I'm thinking my numb-brain neighbor spewing his pneumonia germs everywhere might have more to do with why this one is now hacking like a habitual smoker. So looking forward to moving out of the SHA hellish building I live in, to a much better, more healthy environment in Tacoma, and starting The Oracle Of Light Church/Healing Center and Retreat, primarily for soldiers and families, but hey, you show up, you're welcome, honey. Once it's up and running, which should be soon, thanks to a wonderful client/donor who is buying this one a place, so she can invest in Tacoma's future. The Big Wow/Goddess really loves me, oh yeah! So, that's it for now, my little peach flowers, and to a certain nutball ex: honey, I'm not interested in e-mails about Canadian pharmacies, or calls to invest in fraudulent businesses in Nigeria, so stop e-mailing me and wasting my time, you big zero. And yes, this one does have the new "Seattle cold," which might have come from my incredibly lame ass neighbor who's been spewing pneumonia germs everywhere.

Will be so glad to leave this toxic dump and move to a nice, working-class neighborhood in Tacoma. Come see me at The Oracle Of Light Church/Healing Center, which will be up and running very soon, trust me. And do check out the blog version of this column at bloggerspot.com for more on "the Madison mess," "new army sweetie" and further adventures with same, and our adventures at Le Wet Spot, 'cause that one is interested in exploring some new things. Collars and blindfolds, anyone, oh yes, oh yes, definitely. See ya later and be nice to each other out there, and get fabulous, dahlings; Pride is coming, and hey, it's everywhere, so be brave and venture south, or north and see how it's celebrated other places. That's what I'm doing. Maybe we'll rub rainbow boas and share a laugh, who knows? Glitter to us all, and do e-mail me at ijanaral@yahoo.com. Buhbye!
