ROSEBUD ART SHOW FEATURES PAINTINGS OF THE MALE FORM

KUBE 93FM INTERVIEWS POCAAN COMMUNITY LIAISON AND SEATTLE OUT AND PROUD BOARD SECRETARY
On Sunday, June 29, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., Tony B, host of "StreetBeat" on KUBE 93FM, talks with Seattle Out and Proud Secretary of the Board, Adam Rosencrantz, and People of Color Against AIDS Network Community Liaison, Autrey Bell, about the Seattle Pride Parade and related Pride events. They will also discuss HIV/AIDS awareness and other issues, stereotypes and myths that impact Northwest Gay communities.

SEATTLE CITY COUNCIL HOSTS PUBLIC FORUMS ON EXPANDING STREETCAR LINES
With the South Lake Union Streetcar line complete, the City of Seattle has begun to look at an expanded Streetcar Network. Four potential new lines have been identified that would connect such neighborhoods as Fremont, Ballard, Eastlake, the University District, Capitol Hill and the Central District to Downtown and South Lake Union.

The Seattle City Council wants your input and ideas on these proposed lines, and will be holding a series of community forums on the expanded network in early July. Each forum will offer a presentation on the four lines and then give community members a chance to view them up close and offer feedback.

The forums are taking place as follows:

Wednesday, July 2 - Proposed Central Line at Seattle City Hall, 600 Fourth Avenue, Bertha Knight Landes Room, First Floor, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, July 8 - Proposed Ballard/Fremont Line at the Nordic Heritage Museum, 3014 NW 67th St., 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Wednesday, July 9 - Proposed U-District Line at University Heights Center, 5031 University Way NE, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tuesday, July 15th - Proposed First Hill Line at Yesler Community Center, 917 E. Yesler Way, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

CAPITOL HILL JULY 4TH COMMUNITY PICNIC AT CAL ANDERSON PARK
On Friday, July 4th, from noon to 5 p.m., the Cal Anderson Park Alliance invites everyone to bring your own picnic lunch and enjoy live music, outdoor fun and community at this sixth annual all-ages celebration. Cal Anderson Park is located between Nagle Place and 11th Ave. and between E. Pine St. and E. Denny Way on Capitol Hill.

LIFELONG AIDS ALLIANCE CARE TO SHOP FOOD DRIVE
Chicken Soup Brigade, Lifelong AIDS Alliance's food program, sponsors an on-going food drive program to provide bags of groceries to people living with HIV/AIDS in Seattle/King County. "Care to Shop" is held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the following stores:

The first Saturday of the month at QFC, 416 15th Ave. E., Seattle; the second Saturday of the month at QFC, 417 Broadway E. (Broadway Market), Seattle; and the third Saturday of the month at Thriftway, 9740 S.W. Bank Rd., Vashon Island.

They particularly need: cereal, canned tuna, canned meals (soup, stew, etc.), juice, canned beans, peanut butter, jam/jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, macaroni and cheese, dry pasta, canned or jarred spaghetti sauce. Store gift cards and cash donations are also always appreciated. You can also help by organizing your own food drive at an office gathering or holiday party. For more information, call 206-328-8979.

JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES SPONSORS WORKSHOP ON GAY RELATIONSHIPS
On Wednesday, July 9th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Dr. Dan Yoshimoto of the Relationship Research Institute facilitates a workshop for Gay men on current research and tools for building healthy relationships. EVANGELICALS CONCERNED HOSTS "SPIRIT CONNECTION 2008" RETREAT FOR GLBT CHRISTIANS
From Thursday, July 10, through Sunday, July 13, Evangelicals Concerned Western Region will host a four-day retreat experience for GLBT Christians interested in strengthening their faith and identity as Gay believers. The conference will be held at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma. Sister Evelyn Schave will be a keynote speaker at the conference. BINET SEATTLE HOSTS ANNUAL PICNIC FOR THE BISEXUAL COMMUNITY
On Saturday, July 12, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., BiNet Seattle hosts their 9th annual picnic for the Bisexual community. The event will be held at Ravenna Park, NE 58th St. and 20th Ave. NE, rain or shine. Bring your significant others and family and some food to share. BiNet will provide burgers, sausages, and veggie burgers. BiNet Seattle is a Bisexual non-profit, mixed gender, social and support organization created to foster a visible community for Bisexual, Bi-curious people, and their partners in the Puget Sound area. EMERALD CITY SOFTBALL LEAGUE 2008 SOFTBALL SEASON
The regular 2008 ECSA softball season ended June 22. However, there will be a weekend of play-offs on Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13 for second berth positions for the Gay Softball World Series that will be held in Seattle, August 26-30. The Second Berth Play-Offs will be held at the North SeaTac fields, S. 128th St. & 20th Ave. S., easily accessible by Metro bus route #132. ROSEHEDGE AIDS HOUSING & HEALTHCARE CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF CARING WITH COMMUNITY SUMMER BBQ
On Saturday, July 26, from noon to 4 p.m., Rosehedge House is hosting a summer BBQ in celebration of 20 years of caring for people with HIV/AIDS. The event will be held at the Jude Jackson House, 12718 15th Ave. NE, in Seattle. (Please park at St. Matthew's Church across 15th Ave. NE from Rosehedge.)
