OFFENDED BY LESBIAN KISS?
GET A LIFE!
To the Editor:
So, apparently, Louis William Rose equates the criminal actions of a few N.Y. Yankee fans with the non-sexual smooching of a Lesbian couple at Safeco Field! If the couple had been heterosexual, they wouldn't have been contacted by Safeco Field staff, because homophobic parents wouldn't have complained.
If Mr. Rose believes the non-sexual kisses of the Lesbian couple was tantamount to "a prelude to intercourse," then that says more about him than the victims.
It's unclear as to whether or not Mr. Rose is Gay and self-loathing, or is a straight, rubbernecking, snotty interloper who believes he has the moral authority to give us good homos a "well-deserved" lecture on public etiquette. Either way, in response to his "famous exhortation," I have one for him: "Get a life!"
Sincerely,
Steven L. Kendall
GOODBYE, JOE
When he died from an interaction of drugs, Joe left many friends in the Gay community most of whom knew him as a very clever human being with always a good story to share.
Many years ago I had met his sister from Columbus, Ohio and we subsequently shared holiday cards for years there after. A call from her was about her late brother's personal items. She wanted me to dispose of them for her, which I agreed to do as rapidly as possible. I called a friend and he agreed to help me.
The condominium was squeaky clean, but the closets contained enough pornography to open a store plus drag outfits. We called around and found a Gay thrift store for the disposition of Joe's voluminous tapes, DVDs, books, and drag clothing.
Goodbye Joe, wherever you may be. You are surely missed.
