Michael J. Howard, 1946-2008
Michael J. Howard, 61, died June 18, 2008 in Raymond, WA. He was born January 2, 1947, in Seattle, and was the son of Florence M. and Donald J. Howard. He was raised in Seattle, graduated from West Seattle High, then attended Bible Baptist College in Springfield, MO, where he majored in Music.

Michael worked for Boeing until he accepted a job as Music Director at the First Baptist Church in Omak, WA, during which time he purchased and worked an apple orchard. Upon returning to Seattle, he began his own cleaning and apartment maintenance business. Mike remained in music, singing in downtown Seattle establishments and playing bass guitar. He later created his own karaoke business, "Karaoke Ho," appearing in Capital Hill Gay bars. Michael resided in Grayland, WA for the past six years.

He enjoyed nature, camping, model trains, classic cars, and, most of all, music.

He is survived by his sister, Anne Howard, who resides in Grayland, WA. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Michael had a huge heart when it came to helping others. One of his last wishes was to continue to help by contributing to children's organizations that do facial reconstruction. He will be sorely missed by his sister and friends.
