POZSeattle receives generous donation from Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Abbey of St. Joan
POZSeattle, a non-profit social organization for Seattle-area HIV positive men and their friends, is pleased to be the recipient of a $725 grant award from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Abbey of St. Joan.

According to POZSeattle volunteer Steve Plunk, "the generous grant from the Sisters will go toward promoting and continuing our monthly POZ Socials at the Cuff Complex. The Cuff provides the bartender, music, and happy hour prices, and we pick up the tab for appetizers and décor."

The popular events, held from 6-8pm on the 2nd Wednesday of every month, are free, and provide HIV-positive guys with a safe and fun space to mix, mingle, and chat. The summer socials feature a BBQ on the patio complete with hamburgers, chips, and all of the fixings. If you haven't been to a POZ Social before, or if it's been a while since your last one, we invite you to join us on Wednesday, August 13 for our next social and BBQ.

POZSeattle not only wishes to thank the Sisters, but also to everyone who supports the Sisters and their work in the community.
