Martha Manning Fundraiser
October 1, 8 PM
Chop Suey
On Wednesday, October 1 at Chop Suey, 1325 E. Madison St., there will be a fundraiser for Martha Manning, co-owner of Seattle's only Lesbian bar, the Wildrose. She was seriously injured recently in a gas station fire on September 3 and has been in Harborview Hospital with second- and third-degree burns.
The community has been more than eager to help out in any way they can. So far the show will feature one of Martha's favorite groups, Leslie and the LY's, as well as Team Gina, Precious Moments, Frankenheart, DJs Dewey Decimal and Mathamatix, go-go dancers, burlesque acts, and more being added all the time. The Wildrose will be closed that night so that all can come and help out a wonderful woman who keeps our community hopping! Doors will open at 8 p.m., show at 9.
Anyone who cannot attend but still wishes to donate can do so by sending a check or money order made out to Martha Manning in care of the Wildrose, 1021 E. Pike St., Seattle, WA. 98122.
