Fun-filled BUMP a Halloween fundraiser for Gay City/Seattle Men's & Women's Choruses
This Halloween, Sleepy Hollow meets The Rocky Horror Picture Show on Seattle's waterfront as Gay City Health Project, Seattle Men's Chorus, and Seattle Women's chorus host a dark, sparkling, and fun-filled BUMP on Friday, October 31. The annual Halloween event will rock the Emerald City from 9 p.m.-2 a.m. at Bell Harbor International Conference Center at Pier 66. Regular tickets to BUMP are $35, and VIP tickets are $100. Tickets can be purchased at

"With its new location at Pier 66, BUMP will be bigger than ever," says Gay City's Peter Jabin. "The evening will be filled with outrageous costumes, talented performers, dazzling light show and a few surprises along the way!" Organizers say that Elliott Hall will transform into a spooky world where the music is thumping and the night is filled with friends, frights, and fabulousness.

BUMP includes an outstanding dance party featuring DJ Blaine, free shuttles to and from Capitol Hill, and a costume contest with a grand prize of $1000! "Plus, we're offering a very special experience for our VIP guests," adds Jabin. "Guests who purchase VIP tickets will receive a complimentary Absolut cocktail, access to the private VIP lounge with its own dedicated bar, delicious hors d'ouevres, free parking, and an amazing gift bag!"

"When you purchase tickets to BUMP, you also have an opportunity to enter our prize drawing for an Alaskan Ski Vacation," says Gay City's Fred Swanson. "The Alaska prize package includes four days and five nights in a two-bedroom/two-bathroom private home with sauna and hot tub, located just 35 miles south of Anchorage at the Alyeska Resort. The trip also includes airfare for two to Anchorage from Seattle, and a dinner during your stay." Entries for the prize drawing can be purchased with BUMP tickets online. Guests can purchase one entry for $10, or three entries for $20.

Also new this year at BUMP is the addition of Dry Dock, a substance-free space at the event. This second party is sponsored by SHIFT: A Peer Recovery Network. SHIFT staffer Chris Gabriel points out that "many people living in recovery from addiction want to come to party like BUMP, but being in surroundings where people are drinking alcohol can be a challenge." SHIFT has created Dry Dock as a place where guests can go to take a break from the main party but still enjoy the music and atmosphere of Seattle's hottest Halloween event.

As in the past, complimentary shuttles will transport guests between Capitol Hill and BUMP. Shuttle stops include Rosebud Restaurant & Bar (719 E Pike), The Crypt (1516 11th Ave ), Martins off Madison ( 1413 14th Ave ), Julia's on Broadway ( 300 Broadway Ave E ), and The Elite ( 1520 Olive Way ).

All proceeds from BUMP will benefit the programs and services offered by Gay City Health Project and the travel fund for Seattle Men's Chorus and Seattle Women's Chorus. For more information or tickets, please visit
