| Obama's elected and two new sweeties |
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid -
SGN A&E Writer
My oh my, dear readers! Since this writer last delighted you with tales of lust and new cosmetics to try, we have the first black president-elect, and this one is beside herself with joy, having predicted the win months ago. Psychics don't exist, my ass, and honey, I am the best. Now, if only I could convince more folks of that, my financial situation would be so much better. One hopes the new prez will not only improve the economy, but come out strong for Queer marriage - yes, I know folks usually say "Gay marriage," but that only covers so much, and I believe everyone, in the Queer spectrum deserves the right to marry and enjoy the benefits that come with that state. Me, I'm sticking to being happily single, lusting after and having those dear ones who so delight me, if only for a short time.
And, speaking of lusting, this one has definitely been doing a lot of that lately (not so much getting satisfaction, but here's hoping), chatting up a new sweetie via text message, and trying to mesh that one's schedule and mine, so The Digs can ring with the sweet music of pleasure once more. I'm thinking our desires will remove obstacles soon, and this one will have something to be grateful for, indeed, come turkey day (or maybe after).
Also occasionally chatting up another "army sweetie," who this one is also having trouble getting together with because of schedule problems. Damn that war anyway! Hopefully this one will be cooking a feast for that one in the next week (I'll share my recipe for orange squash soup in this column!), or at least visiting Tacoma (the holy city to this one, ahhhh ahhhh) to see that one soon. Oh, and was that a certain "new army sweetie" this one saw on La Metro last weekend? All I can say is, honey, if that's you, hotcha, and next time, step up and speak, ya know? Yeah, right!
And before I give you my orange squash recipe, or tell you what new products I've tried and love, must mention that I adore that new series Legend of The Seeker on MyQ 10. Busty wenches who can kick ass with swords, a wizard who burns potential dinner and "The Seeker" himself, a nice-looking young lad who wields a sword this one would love to own. Check it out on Saturdays and Sundays, and believe me, you'll be a fan immediately.
One hopes to meet a woman like the heroine at next year's Norwescon, and drag her back to my room for some "akshon." In the meantime, I'll just let myself be thrilled by the cute clerks at Trader Joe's, including my fave, Dave, and a hot, tall blond whose name starts with the letter "P." My neighbor likes the sexy Asian guy, especially certain parts of him. Reasons to shop there, besides the low prices and free java, hmmm? Oh, yeah!
So, what besides lusting for folks at Ft. Lewis, and folks who text, but who have horrible schedules, and store clerks? Well, this one was so dazzled by some new, sparkly eye shadow at Madison Market (yes, the old and new co-op, honey) that I simply had to pick some up after doing my gig at The Cuff for the Full Moon Party (and thanks to everyone who tipped me so generously, making it possible for this one to purchase the makeup of her dreams). It's made by a company called Larenim, and I chose the deep, dark green called Scale of Dragon, and plan to go back for the Purple Reign and that delish aqua called Envy. Thinking of even giving a pot to The Fabulous Daughter, but mum's the word on that.
Also loving, still The Body Shoppe's White Musk For Men, which my boy self loves to dab on when I'm feeling like expressing my inner male. This is a unisex scent that will work for everyone, be you butch, femme, or Trans, and is guaranteed to make you feel sexy and frisky and get you attention. And, speaking of things I love, the new Frederick's of Hollywood catalogue featuring this year's Christmas goodies arrived, so expect to hear more of what this one got for special times with special someones very soon. Trust me, I can't wait to put that order in the mail, honey.
So, that's it for now, my dahlings, except that, yes, the recipe for the ultimate squash soup.
First, acquire an orange squash (what I call "hat squash," because most of them look like hats), wash it, cut it, seed it and bake until tender. After it's cooled a bit, scoop out the innards, mash like potatoes, put in medium-sized pot, add salt and pepper to your taste (sample while cooking so you know if it's seasoned right), add a pinch of curry powder, and a pinch of cinnamon, and water to cover. Cook until bubbling, stirring frequently so it doesn't stick to the pot. Serve with a dollop of plain yogurt and amaze your friends that you can make something this tasty. Enjoy! Next time, my special cranberry stuffing for chicken breasts (what this one hopes to be making for my newest army sweetie soon!). So, be nice to each other, be responsible to the planet, and enjoy your upcoming holidays without guilt - after all, food is good for you. Just join me in boxing after the gorging, and you won't mind that extra piece of pie, honey, trust me! And remember a psychic reading is the greenest gift you can give, so give one (my shameless plug). Buhbye!
