Army sweetie, snow can't stop a visit to Wet Spot
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

Wow. As I sit here in The Digs, working late, and fighting sleep - stayed up way past even this vampire's bedtime last night, dahlings - I'm still amazed when I look outside at the early "winter wonderland" that Capitol Hill has become. Inconvenient as hell. Pretty, yes, but damned inconvenient, especially since this one has her workout to do, and more Christmas shopping for my dear ones. Still, I've got a little love to keep me warm (paraphrasing the popular ballad), with memories of the fun night had last night when this one hooked up with "army sweetie" (yes, my little apples, "army sweetie," the true love this one has been pining for every since that one went "over there"). It certainly made the perilous trek this one took to Le Wet Spot in a Seattle blizzard worth it, honey, let me tell ya.

And there I was, all frisky and ready to knock boots with a certain ex-Marine (and apparently ex-porn star as well, if that one can be believed) who this one spied shortly after her arrival from the arctic air to the warm and friendly environs of Le Spot. Well, we did get some hot lovin' from that sweet young thang, and did the scene to end all scenes (as this one was feeling in a more submissive mood last weekend) with "army sweetie," (who's even buffer and a better top than when last we saw him two years ago). Ouch, my bottom (my behind, honey, not that kind of "bottom") and other parts of me are still smarting from "army sweetie's" toys and strong hands. Nothing like playing vampire, with real, hard biting to wake up from the ordinary, and make this one forget a certain schmoe who, a few weeks ago, turned from a prince to a frog, causing this one to go medieval on his sorry ass. Radio person who? Yeah, sho' I'm right!

Well, after lots of wicked entertainment, this one is a tired little kitty. Because of the stupid purse I let myself get suckered into (never go for the "free bag" when it's offered by a magazine you don't really like, honey), my wallet is missing in action. Hoping it turns up before you're reading this, or this sleep-deprived diva/sex goddess will be scrambling to get her ID renewed, yet again, and missing some very important phone numbers and other fun stuff.

So, what else has this little kitty been up to besides getting her fanny smacked by "army sweetie" and banging hot ex-Marine/ex-porn stars? Well, I did hang out at the annual MLK Grinch Awards party thrown by Jobs For Justice and met some really nice and hardworking folk who are trying to keep an eye on Grinches like Mayor Nickels (who didn't win the "honor," but should have for his lack of initiative to help the homeless). Also did have much fun shopping for my dear one and myself, after The Fabulous and Very Helpful Big Brother sent me Christmas cash. Did not spend that cash at Barney's New York (as this one had planned, since I was into treating myself to some scrumptious new lipstick), after being ignored by not one, but both sales clerks and glared at by the one who finally waited on me, like I'd dared to wake her from dreaming about Tony Bennett or something. So, this one took her little self down to Sephora, where I scored the yummiest plum/sparkle lipstick (was wearing it when "army sweetie" and I parted earlier, and locked lips outside the Ballard Farmer's market, where I might have lost the aforementioned wallet). Nothing like smooching while wearing the right lipstick or gloss, my dears! Also loving the David Yurman eau de parfum I got a sample of at Nordstrom a week ago, before all this damned inconvenient snow made traveling downtown a trial instead of a joy. Wore that today when me and "army sweetie" brushed naked bellies, tempting each other to blow off our obligations and do some "wall shaking, noise making." Ah, but duty called for both of us, so round two of last weekend will come later. Maybe Christmas Eve? Oh, I hope so, honey!

Finally, if you're wanting to look glam, but not spend a bunch o' cash, try Wet'nWild's H20 Proof mascara. I like the brownblack, which looks more natural than my fave Maybelline black, and is perfect for every day. Pick this up at Bartels, or Walgreens. Heck, you can do a giftbag for a Trans friend, or neighbor by putting some Wet'nWild cosmetics together and you'll both be happy. Add a tea light candle and holder and you might just have a new friend.

Ah, and it looks like "Guitar Hero's" makers picked up on how Dykey/Trans that hot blonde looked on the coolest commercial this one has seen in some time, 'cause there's new one with some geeky looking guys that I can't imagine turning anyone on, unless they're into pitiful looking folks. Shame on "Guitar Hero," dang it! Oh, and the other perfect gift this one would love (besides having "army sweetie" back in my sheets)? Having a certain Virginia businessman to sponsor yours truly to Washington for Obama's inauguration. Hey, I'm not loaded with cash, and I did endorse our about to be first Black prez in this very column before some of the other folks did. Hope he reads this and brings me to D.C. for the party. If that happens, I promise to tell you all about it. And a fond farewell to both Beverly Garland (who this one watched on our little black-and-white telly in Houston as a wee one) and Van Heflin, who I sort of had a mini crush on as a budding boigirl. Viva you guys. And viva Odetta too. So, that's it for now, my little cupcakes, and think about helping CARA (Communities Against Rape and Abuse) out with a donation. Check them out every first Saturday of the month at Hidmo (20th and Jackson). Great women with their hearts in the right place. Buhbye! And be careful out there, we'd miss you if you cracked your head on that ice.
