| Come get acquainted with your new park on Capitol Hill!
Saturday, September 24 Noon to 3 p.m. Rain or Shine Cal Anderson Park 1635 11th Ave. (just north of E Pine St.) After many years of planning, design and construction, Cal Anderson Park is opening to the public. Undergrounding the Lincoln Reservoir has added four new acres of open space to this historic Olmstead Park. The park has been reconstructed and renovated with an artist-designed water feature and reflecting pool, a new play area, open lawns, pathways and a basketball court. In addition, this landmark park features a new all-weather surface at Bobby Morris playfield. We have a full afternoon of fun activities planned. Please join us. This event is open to everyone.
