Meeting my lust object, more fun, and downtown Lesbians
by Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

Just watched our very adorable prez on 60 Minutes earlier and I have to say, even though the rest of the country (or some folks) has ended the "honeymoon period" with Mr. Obama, I still feel the glow. I mean, how can you not believe in a guy who's still wowed that he's living in "pretty cool digs" (his words for his White House home to the commentator asking him questions on 60 Minutes)? True, he is still learning how to be president, but hey, I think we could give him a chance and he'd surprise us all, and, FYI, even though I hate, hate, hate war (some of this one's dearest ones have been over and some other might be leaving soon), I think Obama's strategy for Afghanistan is sound judgment. Hey, if you're going to do a heinous job, at least make sure you get it right the first time.

And to a certain Mr. Charles Krauthammer, slow yo' roll and back up off the prez (even if I did sort of agree with your last commentary on the whole stem cell thang).

So, what else has this one been up to besides thinking well of our new prez? Well, just so you know I'm not looking fondly on yet another famous Leo, and that I've no life beyond that, ah, my lovelies, that ain't so. No, this one burned up the sheets yet again with our new love/lust object after seeing a much more palatable film than our last sortie to see Last House on the Left (which this one wouldn't wish on her worst enemy). And yes, Venus being retrograde is having an effect on that relationship, but not nearly as horrid as the last time that molten planet interfered in human affairs of the heart. No, this time we have not only that delish Scorpio, but a devoted slave (just finished off one of the bon bons that one gave me as a tribute after our latest play, which was pretty intense, let me tell you, my sweeties). Also did some writhing around in happiness at The Wet Spot last Saturday with yet another "adoring fan" who also made me laugh.

Nothing like someone who "rings your bell," and makes you laugh too, eh? Good times, good times.

So, what else besides carousing, focusing on politics and eating bon bons from my sweet slave? Well, this one is getting ready for her annual working playday, that exciting time that is Norwescon (Easter weekend at the DoubleTree SeaTac), and looking forward to strutting about in "steampunk" gear and goth gear at night. Take a gander into the Pyramid Imports catalog (you can find them online too!) and see what adventurous gear you can get into, whether you're doing Norwescon or just the latest opening.

And if you need a few 'steam punk' accessories, do check out Seattle Trading Post (where this one got some lovely items to complete my day costume for the upcoming sci-fi/fantasy con, which is now only three weeks away!) at 1510 12th Avenue. Also check out the feathery creations at Aria's new location on Pine Street, near the Fire Department. Trust me, you'll find something in one of these places, even if it's just a cup for tea (as this one found on a recent journey to Seattle Trading Post).

Also tried Rimmel's new Sexy Curves mascara, which I have to say is my new fave to make these brown eyes really get noticed. Pick this and Rimmel's Colour Rush trio of new spring shadows in the most delightful colors for an exciting spring (this one bought Fever and loves it loads!). Also, truly adore Philosophy's Amazing Grace, a tasty little body moisturizer that had actually gotten buried under the mess in this one's tiny bathroom (I swear, SHA built my building for midgets with nothing but a cup and a spoon to their name) until recently, and, believe me, I'm glad I "discovered" it just the other day. Great stuff, you can get some at Sephora's in Westlake Mall. Also two more FYIs for my Trans friends: Leroy Menswear is a great place to buy suits and other menswear if you're wanting to be a stylish F to M. This little boygirl asked the hard questions and the answers from the owner were very welcoming and Trans-friendly. So much so, this one bought some socks to go with my steampunk costume at Norwescon. You do have to buy the whole suit and they don't tailor, but, hey, doesn't one always need a good suit?

So, that's it for now, my little daffodils, and let's just keep on visualizing warm days and balmy nights. And definitely go out and buy something from someone local or otherwise, as we are all in this struggle together to right our ship of state. After all, our prez can only do so much, the rest is up to each of us - at least I think so. Be nice to each other out there (especially you folks trying to run over me and other pedestrians in your rush to get nowhere fast), observe the "Earth Hour" on the 28th (8:30 p.m. turn off your lights for an hour and make a statement about global warming - candlelight can start things, ya know!), and spread more tolerance in the world. Oh, and wink and nod to a certain SPD officer who took this one's complaint of things missing in The Digs and gave a twinkle of the eye when I noticed his lion ring. Tea, or me? Buhbye!
