Amsterdam Burlesque Festival
November 9
Rebar

Seattle burlesque and circus arts performers have the proud distinction of being the only Americans chosen to be part of the first annual "Amsterdam Burlesque Festival," November 19-22 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. They held an uproarious fundraising performance at the Rebar on November 9 to help out with their travel expenses.

Our city's burlesque artists have become known internationally for their grace, poise, originality, heart, great costumes and wonderful humor, combined with glitz and wacky sexiness. Featured Seattle headliners will be Tamara the Trapeze Lady and Armitage Shanks, member of the former Circus Contraption, who will act as the emcee for the four-day festival. Also performing will be local favorites Inga Ingénue, Fuchsia FoXXX, and Sydni Deveraux. Aerial artist Jenny Penny and burlesque artists Waxie Moon and Polly Wood joined these artists in performance at the benefit.

This great and ambitious-looking festival will also feature established popular artists from England, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia, France and Sweden.
