Born on October 2, 1952, in Everett, WA, Jay Allan Schutter studied Interior Design at the Cornish Institute of Art and practiced his craft working as a 'fine' materials wallpaper hanger, painter and decorator.
Jay will be interred with his parent at Cypress Lawn in Everett, WA.
He worked as a designer in Portland, San Francisco and Seattle.
Jay loved his dogs Andy (who has passed away) and Levi. He also loved to cook, sew, decorate, and was an avid collector. Jay also had a wicked tongue, and at times a personality to match. He had a passion for embarrassing people (no matter who they were) who never really exhibited an exuberance for life.
He passed surrounded by friends and family at Bailey Boushay House, after a fight with cancer.
He is survived by his good best friends Jim, Pat, Catherine, Tigra the Pomeranian, brother Dick, sister Shari, and a slew of nieces and nephews.
You are invited to join us for a passing memorial/roast, soon to be disclosed.
