Rise n' Shine documentary premieres at SIFF
Rise n' Shine - A Hero's Journey
May 22
Egyptian Theatre

Rise n' Shine - A Hero's Journey is a short documentary film being screened at the 2010 Seattle International Film Festival. The film explores the journey of two local women, Ralina Miller and Janet Trinkaus. It is a tale of a young woman who, as a child, experienced a series of unthinkable events. It is also the story of a visionary. These two serendipitously joined forces to overcome death, disease, and discrimination. Their inspiring tale exemplifies the triumph of hope and the human spirit. This is a film not to be missed. It is also a tale whose outcome is to be celebrated.

The film is being shown at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22nd at the Egyptian Theatre in Seattle as part of the Northwest Connections screening. Please join these two women and the local producers Timothy McCormick and Rohit Agarwal, on Saturday. Tickets can be purchased through Seattle International Film Festival, www.siff.net.

Rise n' Shine is a local nonprofit organization providing support to Seattle and Puget Sound area children and teens affected by HIV/AIDS. Year-round volunteer driven programs include peer support groups, a mentor program, and residential summer camp.
