Neighbours Nightclub opened its doors Labor Day Weekend in 1983 and has become one of Seattle's longest-running and largest GLBT nightclubs. Neighbours can hold over 1,100 people and boasts three stories, a state-of-the-art sound system and light show, and one of the largest dance floors in Seattle.
Neighbours is proud to have won several 'Best of Washington,' 'Best of Seattle,' and 'Best of Seattle Weekly' polls, and various community awards. We welcome anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, and are constantly trying to find ways to entertain and add to the Seattle nightlife, with some exciting additions and events planned for fall and winter 2010!
Neighbours has hosted some of the world's biggest entertainers, from CD and movie release parties to public and live performances, including Lance Bass, Carol Channing, Darcelle XV and Company, Frenchie Davis, Lady GaGa, Ari Gold, Thelma Houston, Jimmy James, Kenny Kerr, Eartha Kitt, Reichen Lehmkul, the cast of West Side Story and Wicked, along with various Broadway shows.
In the last year, we have hosted Ryan Barry, Little Boots, Lady Bunny, Christian Chavez, Landon Conrad, Fedro, Aden Jaric, Jordan Jaric, Alexis Jordan, Maria Jose, Kaskade featuring Haley, Adam Killian, Blake Lewis, Go Periscope, Kim Sozzi, and Kristine W.
Neighbours has also hosted some of the biggest events and longest-running club nights in Seattle, including AJAXX 63 Parties, C89.5 FM all-ages Listener Appreciation Parties 4 and 5, Club Vogue, Empress Express, Gay Seattle Pageants, La Femme Magnifique Washington Pageants, Manhunt Parties, Noche Latina-Latino Night, and Rock Lobster- '80s night, the Sex and the City 2 Movie Release Party, Mr. and Ms. Washington State Leather, as well as hosting huge Halloween and New Year's Eve parties.
Some of the Northwest's best DJs have spun at Neighbours, including Richard J. Dalton (C89.5 FM), Dana Dub, Brian Gorr, Joe King, Lifeguard (C89.5 FM), Luis, Polo, Skiddle (C89.5 FM), Randy Schlager (C89.5 FM), and Trent Von (C89.5 FM).
Some of Seattle's most celebrated drag queens have hosted shows, grew their careers on the Neighbours stage, been past Miss Neighbours, and moved on to be household names in Seattle and across the country as "Neighbours Girls": Lily Armani, Latrina Bidet, Vesta Bhule, Ric Chyka, LaVanda Dela Rosa, Kristin Dior D, Roxy Doll, Mark Finley, ChoCha Fresca, GLAMAZONIA, La Gorda, Ebony La Face Ice, Kahlua Ice, Jada, Toni James, Marcy Kraft, Shaka Kwan, Crystal Lane, Aleksa Manila, Boy Mike, Sean Paul, Penelope, Rosita, Smokee, Gaysha Starr, Teriyaki Temple, and Coco Vaughn.
Neighbours has donated, helped raised money, and hosted events for local charities and nonprofits, including Asian/Pacific Islander Council, Bailey-Boushay House, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Capitol Hill Alano Club, Chicken Soup Brigade, Entre Hermanos, Gay City Health Project, GLSEN, GSBA, Hands Off Washington, The Imperial Sovereign Court of Seattle, Lifelong AIDS Alliance, 9.11 in New York, Northwest AIDS Foundation, Northwest Harvest, Pennies From Heaven, POCAAN, Seattle Men in Leather, the Sister's of Perpetual Indulgence, United Ebony Council, and Washington State Men In Leather.
