HOMO for
the Holidays
December 3, 4, and 24
West Hall,
OddFellowsBuilding

'It's not Christmas in July, it's Pride in December!' proclaims local drag and burlesque sensation BenDeLaCreme of her annual seasonal spectacle, HOMO for the Holidays.

I was a HOMO for the Holidays virgin, and like most virgins, I had no idea what I was missing out on! HOMO will leave you satisfied and, like a good lover, you'll wanna come back for seconds.

For this year's seasonal spectacle, DeLa has assembled a dream cast: Fuchsia FoXXX; The Cherdonna and Lou Show; ilvs strauss; and Paris Original. In addition, each night, DeLa has invited a special guest, such as Indigo Blue, Sarah Rudinoff, Nick Garrison, Waxie Moon, Sylvia O'Stayformore, Victor Janusz, and The Shanghai Pearl.

'That's right, friends, it's the holidays - that all-encompassing blanket we drape over Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year's, and, of course, Christmas,' said DeLa. 'Whether you get all warm and teary just thinking about them, or spend the whole month drunk trying to forget them, we've got the show for you!'

HOMO for the Holidays is an innovative burlesque and cabaret production. The show opens with DeLa inviting the audience to join her and her friends for a Christmas party. Now, as with any DeLa and company production, this is to be no ordinary holiday shindig. From brilliant costuming, dancing reindeer, sexy sugar cookies, ghostly visitations, a Hanukkah pageant for dummies, and a Gay Jesus, HOMO is a laugh-out-loud look into the way each of us may view the holiday season.

The West Hall inside the OddFellows Building (915 E. Pine St., Capitol Hill) serves as the perfect venue for the production. Cocktails and beer are available, as is food in the Tin Table adjacent to the performance space. For anyone wanting dinner (before or after the show), call (206) 320-8458.

If you've not yet seen HOMO, don't fret; there are three shows left: December 3, 4, and 24. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/135531.

DeLa is inviting one and all to the festivities. 'Light your menorah, stuff your stockings, and join our chosen family in celebrating our favorite wintry holiday of all, HOMO for the Holidays.'
