Big prizes and fast money at Gay Family Feud

Looking for a way to get past those middle-of-the-week blues? Join local drag personalities Vera Vera Ahndahvahl (like 'mirror, mirror on the wall' in a German accent) and Tipsy Rose Lee on Wednesday nights for Gay Family Feud.
'Gay Family Feud is almost identical to the fun, fast, and frivolous TV game show, but with some added twists,' Vera Vera Ahndahvahl told SGN. 'Tipsy Rose Lee and I always start the show with a great musical number.'
Anyone who knows Vera Vera Ahndahvahl can attest to the fact that these showstoppers are never the norm!
'We sometimes invite wacky dolls from the area to supplement in some fishy-swishy so that the audience knows we mean business, too,' she joked. 'We want the viewers to have as much fun as possible. After a few twists and turns, we start the game off with a face-off to each round.'
'We survey our loyal fans to come up with each round's answers,' explained Vera. 'Teams are of three, four, or five contestants, but it really doesn't matter as long as you can survive the four rounds of the game. It is all about strategy with Family Feud.'
According to Vera, the winning team gets a chance to play the final round, called 'Fast Money.' If a team doesn't reach the set 200-point goal, the pot gets bigger for the next week.
'One lucky Lesbian team went home with $100,' said Vera. 'They said they had their eyes on going to Babeland the next day - figures!'
'I would like to thank our already loyal 'studio audience' for coming to Gay Family Feud for the last six months,' she said. 'We have had families such as 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Queers' to the 'Camelita Toa' winning bragging rights - and some dinner too!'
At Gay Family Feud, 'camp' is the name of the game. 'To top off our gooey sundae of a show, we do another great classic number and invite the audience to name the artist that I will be lip-synching to next week,' said Vera.
The regularly scheduled weekly program is at 9 p.m. on Wednesdays, however the show is set to hop over to Monday nights. 'This is to keep Mondays percolating until RuPaul's Drag U airs in June,' explained Vera. 'Then we will be back to Wednesdays again.'
So in short, keep a close eye and ear on Lobby Bar (916 E. Pike St.) for more information.
If you are interested in becoming a team for Gay Family Feud, all you have to do is email Vera Vera Ahndahvahl at veradrag5678@hotmail.com and let her know the week that would be best for you and about how many people you have for your team.
'Straight, Bi, Transgender, deaf, blind, and everything in between are always welcome into Vera and Tipsy's arms,' adds Vera. 'You can also find Tipsy Rose Lee and myself on Facebook. So let's start the Feud!'
