Lady Gaga attends Obama fundraiser to raise question of anti-LGBT bullying |

When pop icon and LGBT advocate Lady Gaga learned that her 14-year-old fan Jamey Rodemeyer committed suicide due to bullying, 'Mother Monster' (as Jamey referred to his idol) promised her fans she would talk to the president about bullying.
The 'Born This Way' singer told her followers on Twitter: 'I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey.'
Over the weekend, the pop star attended an intimate Silicon Valley fundraiser for Obama at the home of Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg. The price tag for the event was a whopping $38,500 per couple and was attended by 70 people who sat underneath a tent in Sandberg's yard.
During a Q&A session of the fundraiser, Lady Gaga thanked President Obama for his work on anti-bullying thus far, then read aloud a letter from a fan about another victim of bullying who took their own life. Gaga then made a plea to the president to do all he could to raise awareness on the importance of anti-bullying efforts. She also suggested a law be put into place that would outlaw bullying.
Obama, in turn, thanked Gaga for her efforts and spoke more in depth about his administration's efforts on the cause.
