FDA approves HIV vaccine study

The FDA has approved human testing for a new HIV vaccine, SAV001. Approval was announced December 20.

Beginning in January, the vaccine will be administered to 40 healthy HIV-positive subjects to test its safety.

California teen sentenced 21 years for killing Gay student

Brandon McInerney, the Oxnard, California, teen who pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the killing of a Gay student, was sentenced December 19 to 21 years in prison.
