STONE SOUP THEATRE PRESENTS: The Real Inspector Hound"
STONE SOUP THEATRE PRESENTS: The Real Inspector Hound"
A play set within a play, The Real Inspector Hound, by Tom Stoppard blurs the lines between the world both onstage and off. "It is a comedy satire of delightful quality and great fun&" Richard Watts, New York Post. Directed by Michelle Gillette, Inspector Hound runs Thursdays through Saturdays from October 27 through November 19. (Preview performance Wednesday Oct. 26).

Two theatre critics, Birdboot and Moon (played by Martin Mackenzie and Eric Riedmann), attend a performance of a British, 'who-dunnit.' The mystery is set in the 1920's at a weekend party at Muldoon Manor, where 'all roads lead in, but not out'. As the guests assemble for bridge, the police announce on the radio that an escaped madman is on his way towards the Manor. Adding intrigue: the guests include, Cynthia and Felicity (Sharon Dummar and Teresa Widner) who are both romantically involved with Simon Gascoyne (Lee Morris), a handsome, but mysterious stranger, Magnus, (William Phillips), 'the crippled half-brother of Lord Muldoon,' and Mrs. Drudge, (Deonn Ritchie), the charwoman.

As the mystery continues with unexpected shootings and red herrings, Birdboot and Moon become more and more involved in the actual action of the play, eventually, becoming some of the characters themselves. Enter: The Real Inspector Hound (John Fry) to solve the mystery. But, in glorious Stoppard fashion, the way he solves the mystery is totally unexpected and the identities of everyone is questioned.
