Royal Todd Robinson, 51, son of Roy A. Robinson and Doris Christensen, died
peacefully on July 15, 2012, surrounded by his family after a courageous three-year battle with
cancer.
Todd was born in Everett, grew up in Woodinville, and graduated from Bothell
High School.
He spent his early years in the Los Angeles area pursuing a career in advertising and
also started his own business. Later he returned to Seattle, working in the restaurant
and bar business at Thumper's on Capitol Hill and in the commercial property
management business.
Todd is survived by his partner of 16 years, Ray Smith; mother and stepfather, Doris
and Al Christensen; sisters, Cheryl Robinson, Susan Robinson, and Recia Weigelt;
nieces and nephews, Charles and Caitlin Legault, Emily, Lisa, Andrew, and Lucas
Iverson, and Marcus Williams; grand-nephew, Thor Iverson; and numerous other family
and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kovach and his staff at Overlake Cancer Center in
Bellevue, and Evergreen Hospice Care Center in Kirkland, for the loving care
they gave Todd during his illness.
Todd was a loving, generous, and sharing person who will be missed by all of us.
To honor Todd, donations may be made to Evergreen Hospice Care Center, 12822
124th Lane N.E., Kirkland, WA 98034.
There will be a Celebration of Todd's Life at the Evergreen Funeral Home, 4504
Broadway, Everett, on August 20th, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception.
Friends and family will also be holding a wake on Capitol Hill later in September.
