SEATTLE GAY & LESBIAN BOOK CLUB - MR. FORTUNE'S MAGGOT
The Seattle Gay & Lesbian Book Club meets every Wednesday from 6-7:15 p.m., at Seattle Area Support Groups Community Center (303 17th Ave. E. at E. Thomas St.). The November selection is Sylvia Townsend Warner's novel, Mr. Fortune's Maggot, the story of a Christian missionary who goes off to a remote South Seas island where he's the only white man, and manages to make one convert, a beautiful young island boy. With breathtaking, elegant sentences that Oscar Wilde would approve of highly, Warner tells a deceptively simple story that's actually about real love. It's a story you've never read before, with a Robinson Crusoe and his boy Friday you'll never forget.

All GLBTQ folks are welcome to participate in this FREE book club. For more information email nickdimartin@earthlink.net, visit http://faculty.washington.edu/swittet/SGLBookClub/ or contact SASG at 206-322-2437; www.sasgcc.org. For discount on cost of books, email Nick.
