NO THANKS, MARK
So, homophobic Mars Hill Church wants to partner with [Lifelong] AIDS Alliance, for the purpose of ministering to those with AIDS. Really?!
Kelly Bray, of Lifelong AIDS Alliance, has been quoted by The Stranger as magnanimously stating, "We don't discriminate against organizations that walk through our doors." She went on to state, "If Mars Hill is interested in potentially volunteering, they would be made aware of what flies by us, the values we uphold, and individuals we work with. We would not put them in any position where they could proselytize." Good! Since they are the moral equivalent of the Taliban, I don't think they'll be conforming their conduct to the standards of Lifelong AIDS Alliance. Talk about the clueless.

A PRESIDENT WHO CARES
The president is absolutely right when he states for real change to take place it is going to take the involvement of those of us who support a democracy that is inclusive as opposed to one catering to the most powerful and richest among us. For the first time since Presidents Kennedy and Carter I feel we have a president who in his heart and soul cares about people of all walks of life.
The question remains how far are the people willing to go to support him in helping this country reach its full potential, leaving no one out?
For far too long elections have been won by degrading groups and people who don't fit certain standards. There are still too many politicians and parts of this great country where those in control continue to hold power by dividing groups and cultures setting them against each other. They continue to see only those things that support their narrow-minded views about what America has been. No one thing is perfect but that should not prevent us from continuing to work towards perfection.
