Tori Amos unveils Seattle concert date

by Albert Rodriguez - SGN A&E Writer

Multi-talented, eclectic singer-songwriter Tori Amos has announced a return to the Emerald City. The artist, beloved by Gay men and women all over the world, will appear July 17 at the Paramount Theatre, where she performed on her previous wintertime visit. Remember when she sang that mesmerizing version of 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas?' Well, maybe she'll do a song about sunshine this time around. Amos is set to release her 14th studio recording, Unrepentant Geraldines, on May 13 and will surely include material from it on her upcoming tour. She also collaborated with author Samuel Adamson, serving as composer for a new musical called The Light Princes, which bowed to London audiences last fall. At press time, the only ticket information available was a pre-sale for fans who order Unrepentant Geraldines at www.myplaydirect.com/tori-amos. Amos has interviewed with Seattle Gay News twice and continues to be a strong ally of the LGBT community.
