Seattle Men's Chorus gets 'Totally Wicked'- Featuring the music of Stephen Schwartz with special guest, Megan Hilty

TOTALLY WICKED
SEATTLE MEN'S CHORUS
WITH SEATTLE WOMEN'S CHORUS
AND DIVERSE HARMONY
MCCAW HALL
MARCH 29-30

SEATTLE, WA - Seattle Men's Chorus (SMC) will get 'Totally Wicked'when they feature the music of Broadway darling, Stephen Schwartz, for their Spring Concert at McCaw Hall in Seattle. Many know Schwartz as the genius behind the music of Wicked, Pippin and Godspell. On Saturday, March 29 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 30 at 2 p.m., SMC, in partnership with Seattle Women's Chorus (SWC) and Diverse Harmony (the nation's first Gay-straight alliance youth chorus), will sing dozens of his songs.

They will perform Schwartz's popular hits from Broadway musicals and movies like Pocahontas, Enchanted and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The concert also includes Schwartz's 2012 choral piece 'Testimony,'originally performed by the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus. Schwartz worked with Seattle's Dan Savage on 'Testimony.'The piece was inspired by Savage's 'It Gets Better'campaign.

Bellevue's own Megan Hilty returns home to the Northwest to sing a few of her more popular Schwartz tunes with the Chorus. Audiences will recognize Hilty from her Broadway run as Glinda in Wicked as well as the iconic Doralee/Dolly Parton role in Broadway's 9 to 5. She recently starred in the TV shows Smash and Sean Saves the World. She maintains an active voiceover career for Disney and has made countless guest appearances on TV series, including Bones, Ugly Betty, The Closer and Desperate Housewives.

Tickets to the SMC's concerts at McCaw Hall (321 Mercer St. at Seattle Center) are $28-$78 and are available at www.SeattleMensChorus.org or by phone at (206) 388-1400. The SMC's box office is open Monday-Friday, noon-7 p.m.

The Annual FREE Children's Concert will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 2 p.m. at McCaw Hall. Tickets are free but must be reserved in advance online at Free Children's Concert. www.SeattleMensChorus.org.

The Friends and Family Preview Concert will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 8 p.m. at the Renton IKEA Performing Arts Center (400 S. 2nd St., Renton). Tickets are $10 each and are available in advance by calling the box office at (206) 388-1400 or day-of-concert at the door.

One special outreach concert will be held in Langley, WA (on Whidbey Island) to benefit CADA (Citizens Against Domestic and Sexual Abuse). The concert will be held on Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m., at the South Whidbey High School Performing Arts Center (5675 Maxwelton Rd., Langley).
