Forbidden Broadway comes to Edmonds Center for the Arts |
FORBIDDEN BROADWAY
EDMONDS CENTER FOR THE ARTS
March 15
Broadway's favorite spoof and Tony® Award winner, Forbidden Broadway comes to Edmonds Center for the Arts on Saturday, March 15th at 7:30 p.m.
Updated regularly, Forbidden Broadway has had several editions, countless revisions, three New York City performance spaces, several national and international tours, and thousands of special performances. The show also became known for talented but as yet unknown actors, many of whom have gone on to stardom on Broadway, on television and in the movies.
Forbidden Broadway has won numerous awards including a Special Tony® Award as well as Drama Critics' Circle, Obie, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Drama League, and Lucille Lortel awards.
Forbidden Broadway has been an unstoppable force in theatre since 1982, when Gerard Alessandrini created the first edition that lampooned the Broadway shows and stars of the day. It has been a favorite among theatre lovers, as well as the Broadway stars themselves (Carol Channing, Angela Lansbury, Patti Lupone, Stephen Sondheim, Raul Esparza, Tyne Daly, Christine Ebersole, Bernadette Peters, Whoopi Goldberg, Mike Nichols, and Hal Prince, to name a few) who have stopped by to laugh at themselves alongside the public.
Tickets: $27, $32 & $37, $15 youth/student. 10% discount for seniors and military and are available by calling the ECA Box Office at 425-275-9595, online at www.ec4arts.org or in person at the ECA Box Office located at 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds.
ECA is a proud member of TeenTix, and offers $5 tickets to teens at the Box Office on the day of the performance, pending availability. To become a TeenTix member, register at www.teentix.org.
Edmonds Center for the Arts (ECA), is a non-profit performing arts facility located in scenic downtown Edmonds, Washington. Located in the historic original Edmonds High School building, ECA was remodeled and opened in October 2006 to be a cultural resource for the Puget Sound region through performing arts presentations, community partnerships and education outreach programs.
