Kitty Kitty Bang Bang will headline at the Seattle BunnyCon 2014 Media & Press Event at Hard Rock Cafe

by Shaun Knittel - SGN Associate Editor

Every now and then it feels good to be a little silly. Nothing too crazy, just a break from the norm; a respite from the onslaught of bad news that seems to constantly come at us in our daily lives, and well - to feel young(ish) again. You know - act like a kid.

The trouble is, as an adult it isn't that easy. And who's got the time to take the time to do that anyway. There are emails to be sent, reports to file, and & you get the picture.

That's where Dave LeClair of Seattle Fun Events (https://www.facebook.com/SeattleFunEvents) enters the picture. LeClair is a Seattle-based events producer and party promoter who, for the past few years, has been involved with - but now exclusively produces - BunnyCon, the annual Seattle Bunny Bar Hop. Basically, a pub-crawl where - are you ready for this? - over 1,000 people dressed up like bunnies take over downtown bars in Seattle, the day before Easter!

This year BunnyCon is scheduled for April 19 (https://www.facebook.com/events/209820625872921/).

According to LeClair, 'On the day before Easter over one thousand of us will be hopping from bar to bar through downtown Seattle from noon until 2 a.m. for Seattle BunnyCon! Why? To have a good time and spread springtime cheer and creativity! This event supports non-profits and it's free - Bunnies don't pay a cover!'

New this year, BunnyCon is partnering with three nonprofit organizations. 'BunnyCon is still free to join,' says LeClaire, adding, 'But we'll be collecting donations from the bars and selling things to participants. Our amazing nonprofit partners are: 'Social Outreach Seattle (SOSea) http://www.socialoutreachseattle.com/, Rat City Roller Girls for the Seattle Derby Brats http://www.seattlederbybrats.com/, and Team Up for Nonprofits http://www.teamupfornonprofits.org/).'

Social Outreach Seattle (SOSea) knows that there are a lot of people that have yet to experience the joy that is BunnyCon. So we decided to put together an event for media and newbies alike: Seattle BunnyCon 2014 Media & Press Event (https://www.facebook.com/events/814759611871022/) is scheduled for Sunday, April 6 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Hard Rock Café (116 Pike St.). It is free to attend and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, but all guests must be 21 or older.

To help out at the event, SOSea reached out to some of the city's best entertainers and the list of who will appear onstage at the Hard Rock is impressive!

KITTY KITTY BANG BANG
The one and only sexual seductress Kitty Kitty Bang Bang is scheduled to headline the event as none other than Jessica Rabbit. Kitty has impersonated the sex bomb cartoon character since she starred in 'An Evening at Le Faux' (https://www.facebook.com/LeFauxShow) at Julia's on Broadway (300 Broadway Ave. E.) in 2010. In addition, Kitty is a model, actress, recording artist and live vocalist. Kitty has been a big supporter of Social Outreach Seattle since its inception; often donating her time and talent to fundraising efforts for the social justice nonprofit. Kitty is currently the co-host of Revolution Thursdays (https://www.facebook.com/events/296180127207013/) at The Baltic Room (1207 Pine St.), a weekly hip hop dance party with no cover. You won't want to miss her uncanny impersonation and live vocal styling's of Jessica Rabbit. For more information about Kitty Kitty Bang Bang go to https://www.facebook.com/KittyKitty.BangBang.Meow or to book Kitty for your party, nightclub, special event send email to BangKittyBang@gmail.com.

JACK MOZIE
Peruvian recording artist and social justice activist Jack Mozie is scheduled to open the show at the event! Singer and songwriter Ramiro Alonso Orellana-Guzman, known by his stage name Jack Mozie, was born and raised until the age of 12 in Lima, Peru. Jack Mozie released his first album, Sealed for Your Protection, at the age of 21 under the name 'Ramiro' in 2011, which contained popular songs 'Society,' 'Candy,' and 'Save Me.' Jack Mozie released his second album, Iron Fist, last year on April 23, 2013. The album is available on itunes. Jack is also a founding member of Social Outreach Seattle and currently serves as the director of community outreach to the LGBTQ and Allied Latino community. To find out more about Jack Mozie go to http://www.reverbnation.com/jackmozie or www.jackmozie.com and on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/jackmozie.

ERIC BLU & THE SOUL REVIEW
This band is on fire! Eric Blu & The Soul Review are selling out bars and performance venues across Seattle and will soon take their show on the road with scheduled performances in states as far away as Montana. In 2013, the band released two singles, '(I Wanna) Make Like Naked' and 'Slow Motion (Part II),' from their Group Hug EP. At the Hard Rock Café event, Eric Blu & The Soul Review will perform an acoustic set of original and cover songs. The band has performed live at Sunset Tavern in Ballard, The Jewel Box Theatre in Belltown, and more. In addition to their upcoming U.S. tour, the band is scheduled to perform at this year's Art Music Dance Fashion & Entertainment (AMDEF) show at Neumos (925 E. Pike St.), which will also benefit Social Outreach Seattle. For more information about Eric Blu & The Soul Review go to https://www.facebook.com/ericblumusic.

DREW PARADISCO
Local drag entertainer and host of PULSE, the Wednesday night 18+ dance party at Neighbours Nightclub (1509 Broadway), Drew Paradisco is scheduled to perform at the media and press event. Drew Paradisco is no stranger to the stage. With over a decade of experience as a drag queen, Drew has emerged as one of Seattle audience's favorites. Drew has lent her time and talent to many Social Outreach Seattle events and speaks out for youth rights, LGBTQ equality, and neighborhood safety. She is a welcome addition to the stellar lineup. For more information on Drew Paradisco go to https://www.facebook.com/DrewParadisco?fref=ts. BUNNY BINGO AND MORE
The BunnyCon 2014 Media & Press Event is free to attend and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Social Outreach Seattle will have a concession table at the event where we will accept donations and sell items such as bunny ears, bunny stickers, and bunny-theme bubble blowers for charity.

'Come out and mingle with the staff, talent, and supporters that make it all happen. We will be thanking all the V.I.B.'s (Very Important Bunnies) that support BunnyCon,' said Seattle BunnyCon producer Dave LeClair of Seattle Fun Events.

We are excited to announce that attendees will get the chance to play BUNNY BINGO to win bunny-themed prizes. This event is going to be a lot of fun!
