Lipstick and Lust
Spooky times, fun times and making that journey into the darkness filled with light,
this Lipstick and Lust is filled with treats of all kinds

By Rajkhet Dirzhud-Rashid - SGN A&E Writer

Ah, the joys of being free from Dyke drama. Can we have a big 'yea me'? Yea me! And by the time you read this, I'll be blissfully recovered not only from the rigors of covering the Lesbian and Gay Film Festival, but also recovered from the wonderful debauching of last week's monthly orientation and dance afterward at The Wet Spot. Chile, I finally became a member and believe me, the joys of membership showered themselves on me in the form of a hot redhead (who I hope to play with in the very near future!), and some wicked action of the topping variety. Let's just say a good time was had by moi! I also went to a marvelous houseparty with some friends and met two more cuties (one of whom was my date for the closing festivities of the Lesbian and Gay Film Festival-more on that in the next column!). I guess my karma isn't so bad after all, eh?

And even with all of that lusting, spanking and other stuff going on, I still did have time to try out some new products and give you the lowdown. So, to continue 'the face issue', here are some great ideas to keep your skin looking yummy and touchable all through the dark times ahead (and I'm not referring to the impending budget cuts from El Stupid, the prez) now that we're into daylight savings time. I highly recommend trying Caudalie's 'Rejuvenating Cream', which leaves your skin feeling soft, but not greasy, and Phytomer's 'WhitEclat', for those with hyper-pigmentation spots (or those who just want dewier skin-I tried it at night and had great looking skin the next day). Use at night and wake up to a great complexion the next day, I guarantee, as it happened for me. And if y ou have trouble with oily skin, do try Dr. Hauschka's 'Normalizing Day Oil'. I tried this one, even though I have aging, combo skin, and liked it anyway. So try it yourself, and see what you think. All of these and my new, so wonderful Stila kohl pencil in Emerald (makes people really notice my eyes, of late!) you can get at my fave store, Sephora.

And if you want to have great hair during a time that tends to dry out everyone's hair, even this mane of mine, try Phyto's 'Phytosesame Masque Hydration Express' for dry hair and 'Amazing Grace' shower gel and shampoo with milk protein. I tried both of these and loved my hair each time, and especially for my sisters with locks and braids, I cannot recommend these enough! I'll just say you'll go 'yum' when you touch your hair the next day. And finally, for the sweetest looking lips, especially if you want to dress up a bit, try Yves Rocher's Coleurs Nature, 'Rouge Fantastique. Believe me, if y ou don't get kissed when you're wearing this, honey you're not trying hard enough. And for smelling delicious, try 'My Queen' and 'Lovely', which you can get at Nordstrom.

And now, for all of you wild witches and vamps out there, a special Halloween edition of 'I, Succubus'. Enjoy and happy Hallowe'en! But before that, don't forget both the Radical Women 'Seditious Witches..' Halloween party and the Sistuh to Sistuh Hallowe'en Party (which is also their annual holiday food drive/fundraiser. For more info on the Sistuh to Sistuh party, go to http://www.sistah2sistah.bravehost.com, and for info on the Radical Women party, call 722-6057. And thanks, thanks, thanks to the lovely ladies at Macy's and Sephora for providing giveaway items for certain lucky folks at the Lesbian and Gay Film Festival.

Evy, who called herself 'Jade' on stage, looked into the mirror at her daughter, Mallow, who was happily engaged in coloring in the book one of the other dancers had given her. 'You should be careful bringin' her here sug, that's how Eddie took my kids away'. But she'd given Mallow the book and smiled before going on to do her shift at The Blue Lady for the crowd of men and a few women. 'On in five honey. This one yours, ain't she cute, just like her mom', the toothy grin from Pete, the stage manager for once didn't creep her out as usual. That's because she knew what he didn't, that this week was her last one at The Blue Lady, that next week she'd be with her sister's family in New York, living in what to her, was like a mansion. 'Ok, ok, just give me one&more&minute. Done. I'll be back in a minute cutie pie, you just keep coloring, okay,' she kissed her daughter on the cheek, then slinked past Pete, trying to avoid his roaming hands that always tweaked her nipples when she went by him. Just one more week.

'No, I don't remember seeing her here before', the girl with pale skin and dark-rimmed eyes gave the officer the photo back and looked at him with a smile that got even bigger when Chris jumped, in spite of himself. 'Yeah, they get that reaction from the normies, but look, they're not real, see for yourself, 'she pulled out the fake fangs and laid them on his open palm. He was still staring when the detective on duty with him, Detective James McChord gave him a too friendly nudge in the lower back. 'I dated this gal once that wore them things, and believe me, there are some things having sharp tooth ain't good for, if you know what I mean,' he laughed and Chris hurriedly gave the fangs back, feeling his face flush, and looking away from detective McChord's grinning face. Why'd they put him with this jerk, he wondered as they started back toward the car, Chris getting in on the driver's side, and detective McChord easing his large body into the passenger seat.

At her desk, Gloriana Ortiz was going over the report about the raped girl and the comments made by her partner about a 'large Black woman who looked like some kind of demon, or something' in the notes section of the report. She sat back in her chair and took a deep breath, her hand on the phone to call, who, Chris, or Lilly, her friend and one of the other officers from the pool she'd been in before transferring to the program she was in now. The program she was in now, the one that allowed female officers to become detectives and drive around, just like the officers, because the department was so shorthanded they needed extra bodies. She let her hand stay on the receiver, then moved it back to the coffee she'd been drinking and her mind started to wander, causing her to think of last night and the strange woman in her bed, who'd brought her such pleasure. And without conciously thinking of it, her other hand found itself between her legs, where she felt warm and suddenly hungry for more of last night.

'Just tell her you went out for a little while. I'm sure she won't mind,' the tall man with the heavy accent was telling Evy, as he took both her tiny hands into his long-nailed larger ones. But as he was about to lead the little girl into the alley between the theater and a motorcycle store, Ja'nelle, one of the other dancers, a lithe Black woman returned from getting dinner. She dropped the bag on the floor and stared at the man, who now flashed a fanged smile at her. Against her own fear, she moved across the small space in the dressing room, and grabbed the child from the stranger, and held her tightly, both of them shaking now. An animal sound came from the man, who glared evily at both of them. 'I'll be back, and next time, you will feed my need pretty lady,' and with that he was simply gone, leaving behind the smell of old incenses and faraway, Eastern palaces. 'He said he was a raksha, what's a raksha, mommy,' the little girl later told her stunned mother when she returned from dancing.

Deciding work would not get done on an empty stomach, Gloriana had decided on a little Mexican place on the far side of town, where she and her secret crush, officer Christopher Littleton sometimes met for a little food before some heavy petting. She was fumbling for her keys, when a familiar voice startled her. 'My sweet one, how nice it always is to see you,' Gloriana turned to see the woman from the night before in her back seat, and suddenly one hunger was forgotten and another burst into flame. 'Come, I have missed you so much,' And in seconds Gloriana was forgetting that they were in a public parking lot, as the woman's mouth covered hers in first delicate, then more urgent kisses and her hands found all of Gloriana's secret places as if she knew her body better than Gloriana did herself. And, like last night, the orgasm, when it came, was intense and took everything in her being to keep from screaming out in pleasure. Only this time, the woman kept kissing her, and licking her until another and another and yet another orgasm poured from her, until finally Gloriana lay on her own back seat, happy but nearly exhausted. 'Wait, I don't know anything about you, where you live, your name..' Gloriana's hand gripped the arm of the woman, surprised at how strong that arm was. 'All you need to know is that whenever you want me, I will come to you. For now, goodbye my pearl,' And the woman simply vanished, leaving more questions again.

But there were more frantic and fearful questions being asked of a little girl who could only say the man she'd seen had a strange accent and looked like a character from one of her fairytale books. 'Raksha', you said. Detective you ever heard of a raksha,' Chris wrote down the notes then turned to his partner, who was eyeing one of the dancers with a look that disgusted him to his core. 'Detective,' the question got his attention this time. 'Nope, can't say as I have, but I can bet you this has something to do with that other&uh..woman I told you about. Come on, let's go find Glory and see what she has to say about this,' he gave the dancer one last eye lick, then he and Chris left the room, leaving an unease that felt like cold hands on the necks of the child's mother and her friend, the other dancer who'd saved her daughter. And in the alley, where no one looked, the man in question, the raksha kissed his second victim in as many days, taking her life as he let her body ease to the cement, her long nails clicking softly as she now rested. And as he disappeared into the shadows, sounds of feet running covered his evil laughter, and his knowledge that Billie would surely come to him now.

Happy Hallowe'en my little pretties and do have fun out there this weekend and play safe and e-mail me at ijanaral @yahoo.com, but can the spam you wackos. Bye!
