All-male dance troupe Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo to appear at Edmonds Center for the Arts' on February 19

Widely respected as some of the most technically gifted dancers outside of Moscow and London, the all-male ballet troupe Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo will delight audiences with their loving knowledge of dance, their comic theatrical approach and the astounding fact that men can, indeed, dance en pointe without falling flat on their faces. The performance will take place on Thursday, February 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Founded in 1974, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo are a critical and audience favorite and have appeared in more than 30 countries and 500 cities around the world. The company of professional dancers perform the full range of the ballet and modern dance repertoire, including classical and original works in faithful renditions of the manners and conceits of those dance styles.

The Trocks' Edmonds engagement will include, among others, 'Le Lac Des Cygnes (Swan Lake Act II),' 'Esmerelda,' and 'Paquita.' Regarding the troupe, the New York Times stated, 'Their program of grand ballet is as much food for the mind as it is for the eye and the funny bone!,' while the Sydney Star Observer asserts: 'The Trocks are a guaranteed hoot for people who know nothing of ballet and an absolute must for those who think they know the originals.'

Tickets to Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo are $54, $49 and $44, $15 youth/student, 10% discount for seniors and military. Please call the ECA Box Office at 425-275-9595, go online at www.ec4arts.org or visit us in person at 410 Fourth Ave. N., Edmonds. ECA is a proud member of TeenTix, and offers $5 tickets to teens at the box office on the day of the performance, pending availability. To become a TeenTix member, register at www.teentix.org.

Edmonds Center for the Arts (EC4A), is a non-profit performing arts facility located in scenic downtown Edmonds, Washington. Located in the historic original Edmonds High School building, EC4A was remodeled and opened in October 2006 to be a cultural resource for the Puget Sound region through performing arts presentations, community partnerships and education outreach programs.
