2015 Leo Party gears up for fabulous party to benefit Seattle Counseling Service and Camp Ten Trees

by Pattilou Reeves - Special to the SGN

The Leo Party is back for its 12th year - with as big a heart as the Leo who started it all, Joe Torres.

Joe Torres is proud to bring Leo Party XII to Neighbours Nightclub (1509 Broadway) this Sunday, August 9, starting at 6 p.m., with all proceeds benefiting local non-profits Seattle Counseling Service and Camp Ten Trees - the birthday party not to be missed!

This year's celebration brings together a bevy of generously donated talent featuring world-famous drag entertainers Chad Michaels and Yara Sofia of 'RuPaul's Drag Race' fame. Hosted again by the amazing Aleksa Manila and Roxy Doll, enjoy a sequined filled night of dancing, live singing and of course, drag lip syncing.

The Leo Party XII will also highlight the critical work Seattle Counseling Service provides through mental health therapy, addiction treatment, case management and social services to Seattle's Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and queer community since 1969. The event will also spotlight the amazing contributions of Camp Ten Trees through a summer camp week for LGBTQA youth, and for children and youth of LGBTQ and/or non-traditional families, honoring creativity, individual choice, and community living.

Do not miss this opportunity to mingle with Seattle's own fabulous Amora Dior-Black and Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse as well as Atasha Manila & the Casa de Manila, Axel Samano, Drew Paradisco & the Haus of Paradisco, Isaac Scott, Fraya Love, Gabriela Scott, Kaleena Markos & the Markos Sisters, Kristie Champagne, Ruth Soto, and Velo.

Enjoy the luscious eye candy of local go-go boys and girls while dancing to music provided by DJ Light Ray and DJ Dirty Bit.

Presented by Muckleshoot Charity Fund and proudly sponsored by Seattle Steamworks. Media sponsors include Seattle Gay Scene, Seattle Gay News, Seattle Event Printing, C89.5 and The Stranger.

Online discount tickets are available now with general admission tickets at $12 and VIP tickets at $35. Regular ticket prices at the door/day of event are $20 GA and $40 VIP. All tickets include admission to Sunday's weekly Noche Latino, which follows the show. VIP tickets include a performer meet and greet, buffet style dinner and surprise gift. Tickets can be purchased online at www.strangertickets.com/go/leoparty.

The Leo Foundation is a community based event-organizing group that seeks to raise awareness of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer issues through a safe-space and fun-filled environment. http://www.leofoundation.us/
