Horror Fest 2015 showcases radio thrillers
Puget Sound FM celebrates Halloween with a free collection and a month of programming specials.

Vicious seafaring rats, seductive monsters and cold-blooded killers star in a new compilation released October 1 by Puget Sound FM. The free release kicks off the station's month-long showcase of classic and contemporary radio horror.

The Horror Fest 2015 Collection features five radio shows voted most frightening by listeners over two months of polling. Host Michael Jones guides the audience through the winning episodes, which include:

o 'Ghost Hunt,' Suspense
o 'Three Skeleton Key,' Escape
o 'The Thing On The Fourble Board,' Quiet Please
o 'Sorry, Wrong Number,' Suspense
o 'Murder Castle,' Lights Out

The collection can be streamed and downloaded FREE from Puget Sound FM's web site, PugetSound.Radio.FM, as well as SoundCloud. It will be available on iTunes soon.

Horror Fest 2015 continues through October 31st and includes week-long showcases of works by Alfred Hitchcock, Edgar Allan Poe, and Vincent Price. The schedule includes:

o October 4-10: 'The Tales of Edgar Allan Poe' features new dramatizations of the author's macabre masterpieces.

o October 6: An American Werewolf in London, the radio adaptation of John Landis' classic horror comedy, streams at 8 pm.

o October 11-17: Alfred Hitchcock Week pays tribute to the Master of Suspense with nightly radio adaptations of his classics, including The Birds, Spellbound, Shadow of a Doubt, The Lodger, Notorious, The 39 Steps, and Strangers on a Train.

o October 19-23: Vincent Price Week brings together the actor's performances in several radio horror classics.

o October 30: A commemorative presentation of The War of the Worlds from 1938.

o October 31: The station's special live Halloween show.

Events throughout Seattle are featured on the station and online in the Calendar of the Macabre.
