Singers Nora Michaels and Victor Janusz - 'together again for the very first time!' - will offer an intimate concert -

On Friday, October 23, doors at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m., singers Nora Michaels and Victor Janusz - 'together again for the very first time!' - will present an intimate concert - 'Singing the Songs They LOVE!' - at EGAN'S Ballard Jamhouse (1707 NW Market St.).

Joining them will be VJ Trio's regular bassist, the robust and charismatic David Salonen with Mr. Janusz at the piano.

Fans of the two Northwest-based vocalists know this event will mean an eclectic journey from jazz standards, the blues, and some originals (Michaels' 'Cleaning Woman Blues' and Janusz's 'Born In A Tent,' to name two) with a hearty dose of story-telling from lives...well-lived?

Nora Michaels is known to Northwest audiences for her long-running Edith Piaf tribute 'La Mome Piaf' and for creating as well as producing the popular 'GIVE PEACE A DANCE!' events.

Nora has worked with and alongside many figures in the jazz, blues and rock worlds, including Roy Orbison, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and Duffy Bishop Band.

Says Janusz: 'It was Duffy who first introduced us! When I heard Nora sing I realized she was a true Blues sister to the divine Ms. Bishop.'

Says Nora: 'You haven't really heard me sing until you hear me with Victor!'

Seating is limited. Tickets: $13 cover. www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2402559. Advance tickets strongly recommended. More info: 206-860-7770.
