Selena Gomez books May 13 concert date in Seattle

She's risen, again! Pop star Selena Gomez is coming to the Emerald City next spring, booking a date at Key Arena on her 'Revival Tour.' The young singer-actress will launch her tour in Las Vegas on May 6 with Seattle being the fifth stop on May 13 on her North American itinerary. Other cities include San Jose, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Chicago, Denver, and Phoenix with the final concert landing in Los Angeles on July 8. Gomez released her new album, Revival, on October 9 that features its leadoff single 'Good for You,' which has sat atop the Top 40 Radio Charts for three consecutive weeks. I'd expect to hear this tune, plus 'Love You Like a Love Song' and 'Come & Get It,' among others, at the concert. Tickets for the Seattle show go on sale Saturday, October 17 at all Ticketmaster locations, or online at Ticketmaster.com. For more information on the tour, visit selenagomez.com.

Also headed to Seattle - actually, she's probably already here - is R&B performer Ciara (aka Russell Wilson's lady companion). The Grammy winner (yep, she took home the Best Short-Form Music Video Award for 'Lose Control' with Missy Elliott and Fatman) will appear December 16 at The Showbox Market, as part of the second leg of her Jackie Tour that kicks off November 27 in Atlanta, her hometown. The first half of the tour, promoting her latest album Jackie, and her first road outing in six years, included sold out performances in 18 cities. 'Goodies,' '1, 2 Step,' 'I Bet,' and 'Dance Like We're Making Love' are some of the hits that will likely be on her set list. Tickets for Ciara will go on sale October 9 at axs.com. For more information on the tour, visit onlyciara.com.

The lineup for 106.1 KISS FM's Fall Ball has been revealed. The November 14 concert, which I assume (but don't know for sure) replaces the annual holiday show Jingle Bell Ball, will be staged at WaMu Theater. LGBT favorite Demi Lovato is the headliner, followed with appearances by Andy Grammar, R City, Omi, and Daya. Tickets are on sale now, priced at $59.95, at all Ticketmaster locations. For additional information on the Ball, go to KISSFMSEATTLE.com.

There's more. JoJo is performing November 29 at Neumos, Built to Spill has booked The Showbox Market for back-to-back concerts on February 5 and 6, Iron Maiden is set to rattle the Tacoma Dome on April 11, and The Who have rescheduled their concert for May 15 at Key Arena, after the band was forced to cancel its fall tour due to Roger Daltry coming down with viral meningitis.

Not coming here anytime soon, but certainly worth mentioning is the '20 Years Queer Tour' by rock band Garbage, who've interviewed twice with Seattle Gay News. It commemorates the 20-year anniversary of the group's ambitious self-titled debut album, which catapulted them to fame on the strength of the hit singles 'I'm Only Happy When It Rains,' 'Stupid,' 'Vow,' and 'Queer.' The closest they came to Seattle on this tour was an October 7 performance at Oakland's Fox Theater. Remaining dates on Garbage's North American itinerary include apperances in Austin, Chicago, Madison, Brooklyn, and Washington DC, though the tour will continue with a European trek with stops in Cologne, Brussels, Paris, London, and their native Edinburgh. Log onto garbage.com for more details.

Finally, 'American Horror Story: Hotel' premiered this week with an all-star cast including Lady GaGa. Download or stream the episode online at iTunes or hulu.com and get caught up. Meanwhile, Ryan Murphy's other new show, 'Scream Queens,' with Ariana Grande, will air its fifth episode on October 13.
