BenDeLaCreme's otherworldly Cosmos takes flight!

by Paul Torres - SGN A&E Writer

BENDELACREME'S
COSMOS
WEST HALL
ODDFELLOWS BUILDING
October 22-24

When the world of sublime and the world of surreal collide, we have a big bang of a comedy and burlesque performance called BenDeLaCreme's Cosmos. BenDelaCreme's not-so-science based show is quite simply, perfection. The sold out performance staged at the Oddfellows West Hall thrilled the exuberant audience on October 24.

From a talking cosmo cocktail to the history of evolution where BenDeLaCreme sheds costumes ranging from a prehistoric fish to a drag queen to depict the history of evolution...of sorts, Ben covers it all in this sassy and sexy feat to describe the mysteries of the universe...of sorts.

The existential outrageousness hits a high point with a witty number about quantum mechanics. She even includes the requisite Uranus song, singing how she's not going to joke about Uranus. It was a gas! She shows off the wit, charm, and nerve we all know and love her for with lines like 'we are all just monkeys in stripper's heels.' We also see the brainy side of this Seattle favorite.

This 'RuPaul's Drag Race' alum proves her starry stuff in BenDeLaCreme's Cosmos as she takes us through space, time, and martinis.
