Cho announcement: Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedienne Margaret Cho bringing 'Fresh Off The Bloat' tour to Seattle, interview with SGN on March 23

MARGARET CHO
'FRESH OFF THE BLOAT'
PARLOR LIVE COMEDY CLUB
March 29-31

Here's an upcoming Cho (just play along) that you really need to get tickets to, if you're in the mood to laugh your socks off. Well, it's Margaret Cho. Named one of the '50 Best Stand-Up Comics of All Time' by Rolling Stone magazine, the legendary comedienne will perform three nights in Bellevue later this month. Her new show is called 'Fresh Off The Bloat' and if it's anything close to her previous stand-up productions, it's going to be hilarious and kray kray.

'Fresh Off The Bloat' is my sickest show to date,' reveals the Emmy and Grammy-nominated comedienne in a press release. My grandmother said, 'You look bloated, as if you've been found dead in a lake after several days of searching. Koreans are the most savage of all the Asians. My new show is all about being fresh off drugs and drinking and suicide and coming back to life - finally fished out of the river Styx. It's magical. It's me.'

Cho kicks off this leg of the tour in Phoenix with planned stops in Tampa, Dallas, Raleigh, Washington DC and Philadelphia (Philly Pride), to name a few. Her concerts in Bellevue will take place on March 29 (one show only) and March 30-31 (two shows nightly) at Parlor Live Comedy Club, located inside Lincoln Square, within a block or so of Bellevue Square; you can easily get to and from the venue by bus (Sound Transit #550 from downtown Seattle or Metro #271 from the U-District).

Before she comes to town, however, Cho will first speak with Seattle Gay News. The comedy icon, who has also appeared on a number of TV series, including 'Drop Dead Diva' and '30 Rock,' will interview with SGN in our upcoming March 23 issue.
